Before the change, it was "The Beach" from September of 1994. Before that, it was "KCLX" Classic Rock from circa September of 1999, taking on KGB. Before that, it was "102.9 The Wave" (KSWV) playing new age music, a format started by 94.7 The Wave in Los Angeles. Before that, it was top 40 KS-103 (KSDO-FM) from November of 1983. Before that, it was Easy 102.9 "KEZL" playing easy listening music.

103.7 was once KJQI "KJOY" until SFX Broadcasting, owner of KYXY, purchased the station to elimiate its chief competetor and reformat that as Rock Mix.
