Dave Rickards Incensed Over On Line Haters (Dec 16, 2010)

Back then through the 90s, people wrote letters to the paper editors and got them posted.

Nowadays, there's a new breed of haters: ones who launch anonymous website domains and post embellished trash talk about people they hate. They even go as far as picking on their relatives, posting libelous comments, post four-letter words, make trashy jokes they think are funny, and are otherwise untalented hacks who don't have a clue how life works.

Just today, Dave Rickards, one of the hosts of "Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw" on Jack 100.7 FM, posted this blurt on his Facebook page.

"My disgust with on line haters is well documented. I despise thee so, as if thee were the flu that maketh the butterfly vomit. But even more so, are the gutless wieners who do so anonymously. And the sad thing is, I know that they're all guys. It's depressing to note, yet none the less accurate that virtually all the anonymous message haters are men. But they don't have the stones to name themselves, nor, heavens above, leave a way to reply.

"Yeah, I get it. There's the whole community of dickless fems who get their jollies by getting a reaction from people like me when they post their nameless diatribes. Fine. Let me be clear. You will probably always get my blood boiling when you hide under the cloak of internet darkness and speak of things that you know nothing about. Good for you. You also will always be a pussy."

Laurie: Absolutely right, David. It's really easy to spout a lot of BS when there's no threat of retribution - verbal or otherwise. Taking pot shots at "public figures" unfortunately goes with the territory - doesn't make it right, but it happens. However there is a special circle of hell for those who pull innocent family members into the mix. You find 'em and I'll help hold them down for you.

Paul Briant: A lot of you are saying "forget" it, ignore it", but that is easier said than done. I don't think that any of us can say that unless one has walked in Daves Italian leather shoes....This stuff hurts and if you are proud of what you do and s...trive for perfection as the DSC doesand they want to know what we listerners are saying. How can Dave not read things sent to him or posted. Sometimes it might contain some constructive critism. I have found that there is a set of people in the world with low self esteem who are friends to your face, but pump themselves up by trying to pull successful people down.They feel better when they pull others down to their level.It makes them feel that you have failings too, just like they do. They actually twist the truth in their head slightly till it fits a certain profile of the person they are targeting and they actually start believing that this person is like that. Then everything they say and do is twisted to accentuate the twisted profile of this person and they then truly think the person is an asshole. To them, it's the truth....I give you guys the 33 MILLION dollar contract that you "turned down" as exibit A. There are WAY more people that love you Dave. You and the crew enrich our lives.
