Let's Screw With The Mudslingers! (June 3, 2010)As you know, we voters get floods of political pieces telling you what to vote for and slinging mud at their candidate's opponent in order to persuade you to vote for their candidate. You hear numerous paid announcements about the candidates and ballot measures on the radio and television. Most always give one side to the battle, but not the other, unless you listen on and on until you hear from the other camp giving their side. In a perfect world, you would hear both sides of the mudslinging within a minute of each other. Ain't gonna happen. I have my voting preferences, but I vote absentee, and have sent my ballot by mail two weeks ago, and I'm nonpartisan, so these battles between the partisan candidates are moot for me until the General Election in November. With that said, I think it's time to do something unique. You see some of the political pieces telling you bad things about their opponent and good things about their candidate? Let's do it in another way. We'll take two opposing mailers of two candidates who are mudslinging each other, take out the good things, and just report the bad things their opponents are saying to each other. I looked through all of the political mailers I've received, and the only mailers where two opposing candidates for the same contest who are mudsling each other in their mailings are in the Republican State Senator 36th District contect. I won't include mudslinging where I have just one candidate mudslinging another without the other candidate mudslinging back, so for now, I have just the one battle for now. Anderson vs. Stone? (June 3, 2010)Why not Kenneth C. Dickson or Greg Stephens?Numerous mailings from organizations for Joel Anderson and Jeff Stone mudslinging each other have convinced me that there are other candidates worth voting for, so both have convinced me not for vote for either of them. All of these are according to the mailers. I'm not making these up. I will name the sources of their mudslinging statements. I got your equal time right here.

Mudsling of Anderson by Stone's Camp (June 3, 2010)And now, to give equal time to the opposing camp for Stone, some mudslinging of Anderson.California's political watchdog agency fined Assemblyman Joel Anderson $20,000 for breaking the law by soliticing and accepting campaign contributions in excess of the legal limit. (Source: Jeff Stone for State Senate - 2010) Anderson's sense of ethics are, let's say, under a dark cloud that's pouring rain. (Source: Jeff Stone for State Senate - 2010) How does Anderson explain or rationalize this sleazy scam. (Source: Jeff Stone for State Senate - 2010) Last year, Senate candidate Joel Anderson was fined $20,000 by the Fair Political Practices Commission for laundering $150,000 in illegal campaign contributions. (Source: Jeff Stone for State Senate - 2010) It's part of a pattern. During his State Assembly campaigns in 2006 and 2008, Anderson paid himself $175,000 using contributions from special interest groups that wanted his vote in the Legislature. (Source: Jeff Stone for State Senate - 2010) When Joel Anderson was on the board of the Padre Dam Municipal Water District, four of his fellow board members accused Anderson of a pattern of unethical behavior, saying, "he's not morally fit for public office. (Source: Jeff Stone for State Senate - 2010) And though he calles himself a tax fighter, the Union-Tribune reported that Anderson had a legacy of more than $50,000 in unpaid taxes. Nobody's mudslinging them.
More Battles (June 3, 2010)Meg Whitman vs. Steve Poziner for Governor on the Republican Primary ballot. I've received Whitman's mudslinging of Poziner in a mailer, but I have yet to receive mudslinging of Whitman by the Poziner camp.Carly Fiorina vs. Tom Campbell for United States Senator on the Republican Primary ballot. A flyer from Fiorina's camp mudsling's Campbell. I want to read mudslinging from the Campbell camp. So with that, I won't publish the mudslinging of one candidate if I don't have the other's mudslinging statements to keep it equal. If you have mudslinging battles of two candidates fighting for the same nomination, e-mail me and I'll publish both sides. Be sure to source them.
