SDN has no affillition with these stories.Access Hollywood: Ashton & Demi To Break-Up With Twitter? excerpt: News of a Twitter reality series is not sitting well with two of the micro-blogging Web site’s most famous users – Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. “I hope this isn’t true,” Demi wrote in response to the planned Twitter series, announced over Memorial Day weekend. “If it is our Twitter time may come to a quick and sad end!” Adding, “This would not be a smart move for Twitter!” Demi’s husband, Ashton – the undisputed Twitter king – was equally disturbed by the idea of a TV series. “Wow I hope this isn’t true,” he wrote on his Twitter account. “I really don’t like being sold out. Some Hollywood folks are developing something that leverages Twitter and they are extremely enthusiastic as evidenced by all the media hubbub yesterday and today. We have little to do with their efforts but we wish them success. Like the thousands of apps being built around Twitter, there is a growing interest from the entertainment and news industry. We see these projects and others as yet another way the ecosystem is enriched for everyone who uses Twitter. Plans for a Twitter-based reality TV show were the talk of Hollywood (and Silicon Valley) on Memorial Day, but 24 hours after the news broke, the Twitterverse is up in arms and even the micro-blogging site's co-founder, Biz Stone, seems to be hedging. Twitter the TV Show Upsetting Celebrities (May 26, 2009)Celebrity News Examiner: Twitter wants to track celebrities on new reality TV show. Twitter is teaming up with TV producers to develop an interactive reality show where contestants stalk celebrities using Twitter. "Stalk" is not the term they use, of course. In a joint statement, producers announced Monday that the show will feature "ordinary people put on the trail of celebrities in a competitive format," according to a report in Variety.Variety: Twitter, Brillstein develop TV series. Unscripted show created by Amy Ephron Twitter has partnered with Reveille and Brillstein Entertainment to develop an unscripted TV skein described as "putting ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format."
