Late with this edition . Sorry. Being fired is a lot more work than I figured it might. Wife, of course, now dumps her entire chore list on me and now actually expects me to get stuff done. Before I always had a "work excuse." Now I'm mostly screwed.

Being fired may actually be good for my health. I'm walking with Freedom every day. Working on the property (actually "cutting brush," ala Reagan and Bush….So Republican, yes?). Freedom ain't much help in that regard. He lays on the seat of his truck and naps while I saw and lug and tote. And I got a lot of medical stuff done before my health insurance runned out. Frankly I am getting "buffed," and may soon apply for some modeling jobs.

There is a lot of news stuff I'd love to write about but some other items must be dealt with beforehand. Namely the theft of the Gazette. His highness has horn-swaggled hundreds of Gazette readers by spamming them with his daily "I'm a major media star," Roger Report. I'm getting hundreds of emails from upset folks saying they didn't sign up for no report from Roger and want their Gazette back. How low can you go? Boy has a 10 gallon hat to sit on a 20 gallon head. Burp.

I'm most amused (as are most of y'all) about his efforts to "prevent," unauthorized messages. Mr. Free Speech must authorize messages? That's way cool. Thankfully The Gazette lives and our circulation expands daily. In this edition I'll print (with names omitted) some of the emails we've received at our Gazette press office in past day or two. Talk show hosts (local and national) have opted to sign on to the "unauthorized," version of the Gazette. Folks in public office and plain ole long time Gazette subscribers who were confounded to find they had been spammed by Mr. Free Speech.

We miss the wit you added to the show and actually enjoyed the times you filled in for him very much. Please keep the Gazette online and if you have to move it again, let us know. We have officially unsubscribed from his Roger Reports, so there should be no question that we can subscribe to yours.

BTW: I did get the new Roger Report with his rude comment at the bottom "...On a down note, it's come to my attention that you may have received unauthorized messages over the last month from a former employee. I have secured the mailing list for the Roger Report to prevent this from happening in the future..." I don't consider your messages to be "unauthorized". Who does he think he is??? I asked to get your messages and I have never asked to get his, so as far as I am concerned, his "Report" is what's unauthorized!!! What a JERK!!!

I really don't get where Hedgecock is coming from (never really did; I always thought he was a condescending a-hole anyway; this just proves it).

Anyway, what a mess. I hope mainstream SD media gets ahold of your story. It's a good one. And write that book too--on talk radio AND on the fires of '03 and '07. Rick

another cookie cutter talk show already overdone by the Rush's an Sean's of

the world. I miss local talk.

There is an awfully lot I never agreed with Roger about but I respected his

knowledge about local stuff. Come to think of it, there are things you and

I don't agree on either but I respect anybody's thoughtful & well

articulated opinions. Sign me up Jimmy!
