Anti Proposition 8 Slanders Mormons (Nov 6, 2008)Just as the pro Prop 8 came out with misleading ads, so did the anti Prop 8 folks. One ad that was mentioned in Roger Hedgecock's show had a lesbian married couple enjoying a night together when two Mormon missionaries showed up at the door. The lesbians opened the door, and the Mormons declared that "We're from the Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ. We're here to take away your rights." The two Mormons took their marraige certificate and ripped it up. Then they walked away. One Mormon said to another "That was too easy," and the other one says "What should we ban next?" The ad ended with "Say no to a Church taking over your government." The ad is pure slander on the Mormon church. Any church would agree that this ad was pure slander. Churches don't do that in real life. They can't and they don't. The church should sue the organizers who produced the ad. During the last month, the gays were pleading to us about tolerance, but were intolerant when it came to tolerating the organization behind Prop 8 banning gay marriage in California. The teachers were intolerant of students that supported Prop 8, yet they were asking for them to tolerate, no wait, demand to accept gay marriage, even though they were against the thought of same sex marriages. What's with the double standard in thinking? Why should people vote no on Prop 8 if the intolerant anti-Prop 8 folks are telling the students to shut up and ripping up the Pro prop 8 signs? Yesterday at a polling place in University City, anti Prop 8 folks were electioneering within 100 feet of the place, which was illegal to do so. This is what voting has come down to? It's safer to vote for contestants on American Idol compared to this. And now, I have just received news that all that the anti Prop 8 crybabies did was to hurt their cause as California voters have adopted a constitutional amendment outlawing same-sex marriage, overturning the state Supreme Court decision that gave gay couples the right to wed just months ago. Proposition 8 passed by a margin of 52 to 48 percent. The actions and bullying of the anti Prop 8 folks have done nothing but to convince the voters to vote the opposite to punish them for their infantile acts of intolerance. And with that, the gays got their poetic justice served on them. The voters took the bullying in stride and took it to the voting booth. Proposition 8 overturns the California Supreme Court decision that overturned the 2000 ban and legalized same-sex marriage in the state in mid-June. Even some gays voted for the proposition. Steve Yuhas, a KOGO talk show host, stated that he was against legalized gay marriage. But wait! Gloria Allred, the liberal attorney, is planning to take the proposition to court to have it invalidated. Just wait and see what happens next. Will there be another overturning of the proposition? Here's a question. If a girl legally declares herself a boy, changing her name from Erica to Eric, even without a sex change operation, can she marry another girl in California legally? Is it not a same sex marriage then? As for me, I left the proposition blank. I did not vote on the proposition because it doesn't affect me one way for another. As an asexual geek loser, who the f**k cares about marraige?
We Take No Stand on Propositon 8 Because You Say So (November 4, 2008)SDRN is taking no stand on Proposition 8 one way or another because the vast majority of the readers stated so.Nobody was interested in paying for naming rights to this website to plug a proposition issue, so Sue, if you're reading this, we're celebrating John McCain's victory tonight at Pat & Oscar's whether you like it or not because you wouldn't spare any money for your cause. Then you'll be saying to yourselves, "Woe. I should have paid David Tanny to name the site "The Vote For Obama San Diego Radio News." One way or another, Proposition 8 doesn't affect me. I don't date dudes. I'm not a lesbian in a man's body either. I personally don't have a stake if gay marraige is banned or not. SDRN can't take a stand on the prop because nobody paid for it. You're on your own for your ballots.
