Something I Suggested Comes True! (Feb 29, 2008)

Holy bleep! Did I say this?

From "Writers Strike Continues On and On and On (Dec 13, 2007)", Quote:

"I don't see how the networks could keep sticking to the shows, when they could replace most of them with movies or maybe some talk show idea hosted by Valerie Bertinelli (she's been on commercials and Rachael Ray so many times she's almost as annoying as Miley Cyrus) instead of suffering through low advertiser rates and a loosing audience, most of which are dying in rest homes."

Guess what? This pops into my e-mail yesterday...

Valerie Gets Own Talk Show (Feb 29, 2008)

From the NY Post:

Excerpts:

Valerie Bertinelli's career resurrection is adding another chapter.

The ex- "One Day at a Time" star, who's out hawking her new autobiography, has signed a deal to develop a syndicated talk show.

The show is expected to be on air as early as 2009-2010.

"I've been talking to Paramount about doing my own talk show," Bertinelli says in the April issue of Ladies' Home Journal.

The "Paramount" Bertinelli refers to is actually CBS TV Distribution, which produces "Rachael Ray" and "Montel," among other talk shows.

Bertinelli, 47, is reaching a new generation as the spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, a gig that's thrust her back into the spotlight after a long quiet period.

She's also written her autobiography, "Losing It," about her TV star days, her marriage to rocker Eddie Van Halen (they're now divorced) and her weight struggles.

Details on when the show might air, and its format, are sketchy at this point, since its in the early-discussion stages.

In addition to her Jenny Craig duties and her new book, Bertinelli will star in the upcoming Lifetime movie, "True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet."

She's also the focus of a "Biography" segment airing March 25 on A&E's Bio network.
