Here’s a lyrical excerpt from “Maoz Tsuris”:

“Let’s all sing on Chanukah
and thank HaShem for this festival.
Maccabees restored the peace
and kicked the Greeks in the testicles…

You can have your Christmas cheer,
But keep away; we are Jewish here.
Why must every Jew endure
Silent Night in a Rite Aid store?”

“SHALOM, DAMMIT! Rabbi Sol Solomon’s Peace, Love and Acid-Reflux Hour – a television miracle” airs Wednesday mornings, 7:30am(ET), on Long Island Cablevision channel 20.

Episodes are also available to watch anytime on www.YouTube.com (keywords: Shalom Dammit).

Rabbi Sol Solomon is the spiritual leader of Temple Sons of Bitches in Great Neck, NY, a small but violent congregation known for the deep devotion and partial strokes of its mostly elderly membership. A frequent guest on the weekly WGBB radio program “Dave’s Gone By,” Rabbi Sol has weighed in on everything from Jewish holidays to popular music to breast-cancer awareness. He’s also interviewed such notables as actors Fyvush Finkel and Bruce Adler and songstress Jill Sobule.

Kidding aside, Rabbi Sol Solomon is married and has 21.5 children by his dear wife, Miriam Libby. He has lectured at the University of Kosher Meat, The Old School for Social Retrenchment, and The Five Towns Center for Art, Music and Prostate Awareness. In his spare time he has no spare time.

So tell your neighbors and warn your friends, “SHALOM, DAMMIT!” is on TV, Wednesday mornings at 7:30am and on YouTube.com anytime.

Also listen to “Dave’s Gone By” on WGBB AM-1240 radio (am1240wgbb.com), Sundays at 11pm(ET).
