When Will America Join The World and 2007? (Apr 28, 2007)The way America is heading, it's no wonder that culture in San Diego remains in reverse gear. We are in the era of electronica, Americana, pop techno, comedy music, and dance/R&B, and what does Ken at Domino's Pizza listen to at work? Some stupid Z-90 station playing culture that doesn't reflect today's global culture. Hip hop as we know it is screwing up the world of demented music and this has to stop. Channel 933, Z90, and Blazin 98.9 need to get some friggin' clues and update their music to a dance-leaning playlist. Comedy Country/Folk-leaning DFSX's listeners for the most part don't like rap and hip hop. Dr. Demento plays the rap genre too much which is why I stopped listening to his radio show for the most part and I won't bother the local radio stations to add it to their schedule. We need to get America away from the destructive path of hip hop culture and steer our youth towards a dance/dementia music culture before we get taken over by our world enemies. Here's some stories on hip hop in the news. Third-party stories are copyrighted by their respective owners. SDN has no affillition with these stories. Wilmington Star: Expressing concern about the "growing public outrage" over the use of such words in rap lyrics, Russell Simmons, the pioneering entrepreneur who made millions of dollars as he helped shape hip-hop culture, said the words "b**ch," "h*" and "n****r" should be considered "extreme curse words". George Varga: Hip-hop is under siege again, thanks to Don Imus, although fans at tomorrow night's national “Street Dreamz” tour stop at the San Diego Sports Arena probably won't notice anything amiss when Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne and other rappers perform. |
