Signs San Diego Still Ain't Getting It (Apr 19, 2007)

Cars with stickers that plug Mikey's horrible morning radio show.

People who listen to mindless mainstream pop on the urban and CHR stations.

People who buy gas at Mobil, Chevron, Exxon, and 76 where the gas is among the most expensive in town.

Convieience stores that crank out an irrelevalent dinosaur rock station especially during the time when some uninteresting morning team comes on to talk about stuff nobody cares about.

SUVs that turn up the bass volume too high while listening to unlistenable rap with lyrics not printable in the Union-Tribune paper.

Club 933 for playing fake dance music at noon.

Union-Tribune and San Diego Reader journalists who think one-dimensionally in terms of covering the radio subject as a micro climate.

TV stations that proclaim that their news is broadcasting in HDTV, yet we still get the same overcoverage of some Virginia Tech shooting longer than sixty seconds per newscast. We don't need another Danielle Van Dam news culture, idiot channel 8 news director!

Media that's ignoring the most important story of all: Internet radio and the CPB.

Co-workers of mine who listen to pussified pop and scary urban music.

Owners of Domino's Pizza franchises who don't bother to invest in Internet radio tuners or air conditioners for the stores. I go to Papa John's instead for pizza. Why reward people who don't treat me right, right?

Female workers at the Home Depot Expo for being the cheapest creatures on Earth for asking me for pay more money for what I don't need. Tom Leykis is right on this one and I'm witnessing it myself. I won't do business with them.

Canned oldies stations on 1040 and 100.7.

Ringtones that are not excerpted from funny songs.

Target stores for not stocking up on sub-26 inch HDTV sets while Circuit City and Fry's Electronics are now selling them in stores.

Target for not carrying a VHS recorder with an SDTV tuner like one that I saw at Wal-Mart just today.

Target for not carrying any HD Radio units like the three I saw at Fry's.

Target for displaying non-working models for two of the new eight-inch HDTV sets instead of putting a working model on display for me to review.

Cell phone service providers for sucking on service (contracts blow and should be outlawed).

People who assume that I have a cell phone when I don't.

Co-workers who smoke. I can't be friends with smokers. I don't mix with them.

People who listen to that hatemonger Michael Savage. KFMB-AM should can this bigot immediately. Roger Hedgecock is at least a gentleman compared to this Savage creep. Savage should be handcuffed to a cross, forced to cross-dress as a woman, and be paraded during this year's Gay Pride festivities in July.

Time to smart up, San Diego. It's 2007. Not 1987.
