Penn Jillette Ends Show (Mar 3, 2007)
Friday was the last airing of The Penn Jillette radio show on Free-FM in nearly a dozen
markets including 103.7 Free FM.
"The reason we're ending it," Jillette said, "is just because I can't do more than an hour. You have to understand I am a show biz wimp, so I don't even know what hard work is."
Starting Monday, The Generic Show will be taking over the 2-3pm time slot once occupied
by Jillette. They've been on nights from 7-10pm since 103.7 Free-FM cancelled the low-rated
Dangerous Dick and Skibba show last week.
On Monday, The Voice of the Next Generation takes over the 7-10pm whatever that may be.
Penn Jillette Featured on Sabrina DVD (Mar 6, 2007)
Penn, who turned 52 on March 5, ended his 14-month radio show on Free-FM last Friday, but he's featured in a few episodes during the 1996-97 season (the first season)
of "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch". He plays, Drell, a wacky member of the Witches Council. Penn also hosts an NBC game show
called "Identity" Friday nights beginning March 16. Penn also released several other CDs including the Showtime series
"Bulls..." PLONK! "...hit." Penn's show was one of the few talkers that was basically entertaining and likeable
unlike most of the political talkers on the AM band.
