First off, thanks for everyone who
filled the Coors Amphitheater for 91X-Fest XII! You
can see pictures HERE.
It's just a tiny bit of the madness that was X-Fest
XII - we can't wait to do it again next year. And after
X-Fest we jumped right back into it: Wolfmother came
by 91X Tuesday for a plugged in X-Session - it
was so loud the cops came! Hear it and see it right HERE.
Speaking of jumping right back into it, on Monday we
unveiled the 91X WORLD TOUR! We're kicking it off
with a trip to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers in NYC!
Every hour from 7:00 AM to
7:00 PM on Thursday (6/15), you have
a chance to win tickets to the sold out SD RHCP
concert and a boarding pass which could get you on a plane to
New York City to see the Peppers play out there.
Huge. Cantore announces the Grand Prize winner on
Friday, and then this weekend we'll announce 91X WORLD
TOUR stop # 2.
Also... 91X's Del Mar 4:00 Friday's
are back at the Racetrack, and the line-up this year is crazy!!!
Flaming Lips, Pinback, Alice
in Chains, and Violent Femmes are all coming
(among others), and you see them for free with your
track admission! Click HERE
for the entire line-up, and keep listening for your chance to win free
tickets.
Check this out: 91X and the
American Red Cross "Music Saves Lives,"
program want to give you a free backstage pass to
Warped Tour 2006 just for donating blood and giving
the gift of life! Blood drives are being held all over San Diego in
the next few weeks, you can help out and score a backstage pass to the
Warped Tour in the process. Click HERE
for details.
This week AFI's new cd,
decemberunderground, made the band's first #1 debut
on the Billboard sales charts, so congrats to them! The Mars
Volta announced that their new cd will be called
"Amputechture", and Korn's Jonathan Davis
revealed that he has ITP [Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic
Purpura] but is on the mend. Get your daily 91X music news fix HERE.
Thanks so much for the continued
love and support. We are sending it
right back at you, just don't let it hit you in the face, ok? Then we
would feel bad.
