If you have been watching Olympic figure
skating at all, you know I mean it with love when I say hello, my
little flying camel!
Matisyahu stopped by the 91X studios before the
Bob Marley Day Festival on Monday and gave what will go down as a
legendary X-session performance. Matisyahu and guitarist
Aaron Dugan gave an incredibly intense performance in
front of a small, group of 91X winners. Click on these direct links to hear mp3s of the
X-session versions of Youth,
Man
is Just a Man, and King
Without a Crown, and check out the photos
from the session. Much
love and thanks to Matisyahu for stopping by.
If you missed the
announcement from
Cantore and
Jennifer White, The Strokes have announced a tour and
we’re bringing it to
San Diego ! This one is
right around the corner: Tuesday, March 28 at RIMAC Arena at
U.C.S.D. Tickets go on
sale this Saturday at 10:00A.M. at your favorite
Ticketmaster outlet, or, of course, you can win free tickets from
91X! This Thursday and
Friday we’ve got your chances to Pick-A-Ticket
every 91 Minutes to one of the three big upcoming SD shows: The
Strokes, Fall Out Boy with
Hawthorne
Heights on April 1, or Avenged Sevenfold
with Coheed & Cambria on April 28! Niiiice. Makes
me think of the flying camel.
This and every
Thursday night, you can find 91X’s
Kallao at the Bitter End downtown for
“All Mashed Up.” It kicks off at 10:00pm and
Kallao or assorted guest DJs spin mash-ups like there’s no
tomorrow, all X-Mix style… they’re down there mashing U2
with Daft Punk, Radiohead with Marvin Gaye, it is mind blowing and it
has been going off! No
cover before 9:00, listen to
Kallao weeknights to win VIP passes for you and your friends to join
him Thursday nights at the Bitter End.
Kallao might even attempt a flying camel if he gets enough cocktails
in him! Sans skates, of course. We don’t want anyone to lose an
eye.
Loving YOU,
91X
