"Adam was a clear choice to put behind the wheel in morning drive because he can combine compelling commentary and comedy on more topics than mere mortals can fit into a four-hour show," said Rob Barnett, President of Programming, CBS RADIO. Carolla is one of the most versatile men in Hollywood. He recently hosted Comedy Central's "Too Late with Adam Carolla" and starred in TLC's "The Adam Carolla Project," which chronicled the renovation and subsequent sale of his boyhood home. Following brief stints as a skilled carpenter and boxing trainer, he began his career in radio after answering an ad seeking a boxing instructor to train then radio personality Jimmy Kimmel of KROQ's KEVIN AND BEAN SHOW in Los Angeles. He eventually joined the show's repertoire as Mr. Birchum, a woodshop teacher. Carolla's success on KROQ led to a hosting job on the nationally syndicated radio program "Loveline," with Dr. Drew Pinsky. MTV developed a television version of the show, which was co-hosted by Carolla and Pinsky for five seasons (1996-2000). The duo also authored The Dr. Drew and Adam Book: A Survival Guide to Life and Love. With their partner Daniel Kellison, Carolla and Kimmel are the heads of Jackhole Industries and have created and starred in two hit Comedy Central shows, "The Man Show" (1999-2003) and "Crank Yankers" (2002-present). Jackhole Industries also executive produced "Gerhard Reinke's Wanderlust," a comedy travel show which aired on Comedy Central, and a reality-based feature film, Windy City Heat, which won The Comedia Award for Best Film at the 2004 Montreal Just For Laughs comedy festival. Perry grew up in Brockville, a small town in Ontario, Canada and attended Toronto's York University. She began her television career as a VJ for the popular Canadian music channel, MUCHMUSIC, hosting various programs, including their weekly countdown show, "Much AXS" and "Much On Demand," and interviewing U2, Fred Durst and Eminem, among others. Following her three-year stint with MUCHMUSIC, Perry provided interview segments with various hockey players for ESPN's "Cool Shots," and later was hired by the Metro Channel in New York to work on its live music show, "The Daily Beat." She next served as host of VH1's morning music show "Jumpstart" and VH1 News. Perry has also been a host for VH1's reality show "Stripsearch," "Top 20 Video Countdown," "Maxim Hot 100," and contributed to various red carpet specials. Additionally, Perry hosts the syndicated radio show, "Weekly Rewind," for VH1 and WESTWOOD ONE. Perry also has served as a New York correspondent for the daily entertainment news show EXTRA, and sideline host for NBC's Gravity Games and Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. Additionally, she can be seen in the independent movie "Searching for Bobby D." Dameshek joins THE ADAM CAROLLA SHOW after two-and-a-half years as a writer on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where, among other responsibilities, he worked on the show's nightly monologue. He has written for various cable shows, including Fox Sports Net's "Sports Geniuses," Comedy Central's "Battlebots," "Crank Yankers," "I'm With Busey" and "Trigger Happy TV." His first big break came in 2001, when he was hired as a writer on Comedy Central's "The Man Show," where he would work for the show's third and fourth seasons. During that time, Dameshek also became the co-host of a Fox Sports Radio show with radio veteran Kent Voss. He also wrote and/or appeared in several of Jimmy Kimmel's popular segment on Fox's NFL pre-game show. In 2004, Dameshek became the weekly sports correspondent on Indy 103.1's "Mighty Morning Show" in Los Angeles. Over the past two years, he has also made periodic appearances on regional and national ESPN Radio programs.
