LOS ANGELES, MEXICO
(so what’s the uproar about?)

TV STATION UP IN LA AREA buys a whole bunch (75?) of billboards to sell
it’s Spanish language newscast and headlines the LA Mexico line bannered
above. Many folks get all upset. Huh? Isn’t Mexico where LA is today?
Plain statement of truth on the billboard. At least the TV station had the
honesty to so state. Up till now Mexico has kinda hid the fact that it has
reclaimed most of California and a number of our border states.

And you folks thought we was kidding when we said the Mexican border is
about to be moved north to San Francisco. Get a clue folks. It’s a done
deal!! You were napping or watching that Idol show when it happened. Grab
another beer, it’s time for Desperate Housewives.

KUDO TO KFI IN LA (a Clear Channel station)…they retort the LA/Mexico
billboard with several of their own. It’s posted on their website and we
cross posted on ROGER’S website this morning. Simply reads: “Just to
clarify, you are here, Los Angeles, CA, USA” and then the station logo.
Along side several roadways up LA, Mexico way.

Turns out that uproar will force Spanish TV station to change the ad copy
on the billboard..(late this week) but you got the message right? This
land is no longer our land. Live with it!!

SOME GOOD NEWS TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY…HR 418 has made it thru the
house/senate conference and all the items in the Jim Sensenbrenner 911
Real I.D. bill will go to floor votes next week. Since it’s tied to the
“must pass,” Iraq funding bill it will pass and will be signed by the
President. Credit the Minutemen and Hold Their Feet To The Fire XI with
aiding in this accomplishment. The first day we took the hill on April
25th, the Senate Minority Leader got clued and counted noses and decided
he didn’t have enough votes to stop Real I.D. Seeing several hundred of us
citizen-lobbyists in the Capitol Building helped with the dot connection.

To all of the 500 some folks who paid their way to D.C. last week to do
the work of citizenship - THANKS!!

And I need to continue my thank yous for those who helped make HTFTTF XI
happen. Foremost among those folks are Michael Harrison of Talkers
Magazine, Ellen Ratner of Talk Radio News Service (and Fox News Channel)
and Adam Sharon of Talk Radio News Service.

Early on I realized that the only way I was gonna get radio talk show
hosts to come with us to D.C. and bring listeners was to make it as easy
as possible. So I called Michael Harrison and asked if he’d help me set up
a Radio Row at a close to the Capitol Building hotel. He pondered and said
yes.  That led to talks with Ellen at TRNS and the assignment of Adam
Sharon to actually put the Radio Row together.

Adam set up four broadcast stations in two conference rooms at the Holiday
Inn on New Jersey Avenue. All our talk show hosts had to do was show up,
have their stations dial up the broadcast table, take a sip of coffee and
broadcast. The room was even set up for WiFi so laptops were hot without
plugging into a phone line or high speed access.

The TRNS Radio Row eliminated the need for radio stations to truck
broadcast equipment across country, negated the need for stations to pay
to send an engineer to D.C. and gave all of our stations a turn-key
operation.

For Michael Harrison our thanks are endless. He has published the Bible of
the Talk Radio Industry for years - Talkers Magazine. Ellen has been a bud
for years. And Adam Sharon set up Radio Row, worked with me for weeks on
coordination, he spent more than 12 hours a day at Radio Row the entire
time to make sure everything ran smoothly…and then he tore down the set up
after we’d left town. An amazing young man. I have posted some pix of
Radio Row and Adam and our talkshow hosts on ROGER’S website. On the main
page, top left.

Without Michael, Ellen, Adam and Talk Radio News Service we could not have
done HTFTTF XI. It’s simply that simple. And they made history. This has
never happened before where a group of radio talk show hosts decided to
tackle a topic of national import and be pro-active.

SPEAKING OF PRO-ACTIVE, WE NEED YOU TO JOIN US ON FRIDAY..CA state
lawmaker Lorie Saldonia is organizing a demonstration to support an open
border and protest the Minutemen project in San Diego. Here’s the
information from the U.S. is Mexico crowd:

PLEASE JOIN US THIS FRIDAY AS WE HOLD A UNITY RALLY AND SAY NO TO
MINUTEMEN, NO TO ARNOLD AND NO TO RACISM (11:00 am in front of State
Building 1401 Front Street (Ash & Front Street Downtown San Diego)

It is going to be important for us to bring a crowd to offset the
wackjobs. The Republican National Hispanic Association and Friends of the
Border Patrol will be there. We’re asking our friends at Protest Warrior
to show up…and we’re asking you to show up as well. We do not confront. We
exercise our 1st Amendment. The wackjobs gather this Friday May 9th. Show
up at 10:30am, okay.

SPANISH LESSONS…since the truth is out and we all acknowledge that San
Diego and Los Angeles are part of Mexico, it’s important that we learn the
language of our land. As a public service we’ll do short Spanish lessons
each day in the Flash. You may also want to watch Spanish language TV and
learn new words each day.

Platanos = Bananas
Pedasos de Pollo Empanizados = Chicken Nuggets (important at KFC)
Huevos Grandes = Large eggs

**ROGER LOOKING FOR ONE GOOD MAN (OR WOMAN) The boss has launched a “help
wanted,” campaign seeking a best candidate to be Mayor of the City of San
Diego. He has placed a “help wanted,” ad in the San Diego Reader, on it’s
classified website www.sdreader.com and in it’s major job publication Job
Giant. ROGER’S ad is in this weeks Reader and has been on line since
Tuesday of this week. You may want to pick up a copy of the Reader and see
if you qualify to apply.

This is not a total tongue in cheek effort. Look at the folks you have on
your council now. All of those dimwits want to be Mayor including the guy
on trial for strip club bribery and Donna Frye who never met a problem she
couldn’t solve by hiking taxes, increasing fees, restricting human freedom
or going to court. ROGER figures we need a kick butt and take names kinda
person who has actually worked for a living and built a business and hired
and fired and held folks accountable and made a payroll.

Think you might qualify? Check out the Reader which hit’s the (it’s free)
streets today, or go on line at sdreader.com and respond by email. You
gotta live in San Diego, be a registered voter, have 500 bucks and 200
signatures. Otherwise it’s a job that is yours for the taking.
