We’ve asked SD Councilman Tony Young to visit, he the only missing vote on Our Cross last week. An invite also tendered to SD city attorney Michael Aguirre to chat up legal concerns about our bid to Save Our Cross. Other topics as you see fit. (plate overflows) HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE XI will be even more challenging than we had planned. We learn this day that a group of pro-illegal advocates plan a rally day in D.C. on Wednesday April 27th. They’ll bus illegals in from Ohio and elsewhere to confront our citizen-lobbyists in the halls of Congress. One wit suggested that we call the federal agency tasked to arrest folks who break into our country to greet the busses as they arrive on Capital Hill. Idea was nixed because everybody knows you can’t arrest an illegal for near any crime. Yikes!! So work cut out for us in D.C. as ROGER travels with many of his radio listeners, other radio show hosts from around the nation and their listeners to lobby congress for immigration reform. FRIDAY ON MT. SOLEDAD…you know by now that radio talk show hosts in San Diego will rally the faithful at the Mount on Friday. KOGO’S Mark Larson broadcasts from 12 - 3pm and then ROGER takes the microphone from 3p - 6p. We have church groups bussing (we need to get into the bus bidness) folks to the site of Our Cross. There will be petitions to sign. We’ll have a table set up so you can register to vote. There will be free speech. We may try out our chain gang. You can give us money to help us gather signatures to Save Our Cross. We know you can’t spend the entire 6 hours with us, but come by, get a free Cross, chat with us on the radio and show your support for The Cross That Won’t Come Down!! THE COORS CROSS CREW were hard at work in a garage in San Diego last night. Clint August, Mark and Marc and some other folks bought wood (with your donations) from Home Depot and constructed some 400 three foot high Crosses that we’ll give away on Friday at the Mount. The guys call themselves the CCC because they quenched thirst with ice cold cans of Coors. MEANWHILE OVER AT HOMEFRONT SAN DIEGO…KC and Kristi spent this morning driving, packing and unloading a giant U-Haul truck. One of our military families needed furniture. We had a donor who gave us furniture. But being a work day we couldn’t come up with guys with strong backs to get the job done. So our military wife volunteers did the heavy lifting. I tried to yell at them but they shut me up…the job had to be done and the option was one!! I shut up!! Not only do these folks not get paid, they do serious grunt work. If that ain’t a labor of love. I’d like to see EL do some heavy lifting…did I say that out loud? Hopefully it’s too inside for anyone to catch. Yikes!!
