THE ROGER HEDGECOCK SHOW
KOGO/AM 600 - 3P - 6P (Pacific)
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
THE RADIO MAYOR OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
WEDNESDAY MARCH 16TH , 2005

TODAY ON THE RADIO: Let’s see, aside from Saving Our Cross and Saving
America, ROGER isn’t really up to much these days!! Yikes!! A little ole
radio talk show in sleeping San Diego, Ca. Mostly it’s this listening
audience to blame. We rejoin the good fights again today at 3:07pm. But
you need to be fully briefed on the mission so homework is required,
please:

SAVE OUR CROSS!!
(call us the Swift Vote folks)

AMAZING THE PACE at which our campaign to Save Our Cross has launched. On
Friday last, mere hours (1.5 hours to be exact) after the SD City Attorney
finally released the official legal language of the March 8th 5-3 city
council rejection of the plan to turn Our Cross over to the feds and
prevent it’s destruction, Michael Shelby had filed papers to begin a
petition drive to force council to overturn it’s vote. On Saturday we had
petitions on the street. And we had garnered TV coverage from three local
TV outlets.

Come Monday morning production of a Save Our Cross website was underway.
Petition signing efforts grew and we began to distribute three foot high
Crosses to folks to plant in front yards. Yesterday the campaign was in
warp drive mode. By high noon Tuesday the website is fully functional.
Here’s the link point: http://soledadnational.com/

At the website you may download and print a petition (it’s two sided 8.5 X
14). You can get all sorts of vital information about our nationwide
effort to Save Our Cross and you can DONATE funds on line to support our
petition gathering. We aim to hire professional circulators to ensure that
there is no chance of failure. You can call the phone number on the site
to have petitions mailed to you. (You may also pick up batches of
petitions and sign as well, at KOGO studios, 9660 Granite Ridge Drive,
Sd.) The site is fully secure and fully active.

Mike Shelby printed 3-thousand copies of the petition on Saturday and then
on Tuesday we picked up 10-thousand freshly printed petitions from a San
Diego printing firm that donated the time, effort and paper and gave us
the petitions FREE. We have another printer standing by to print more FREE
petitions for us. We’ll likely get that done today or tomorrow. Our aim is
to get the petitions into the hands of Pastors and Priests and church
leaders all over the city of San Diego in time for this Sunday. (error:
last Flash we said Good Friday is this coming Friday, it ain’t..it’s March
25th..sorry and thanks to all who corrected this imbecile)

AND THIS FRIDAY..come to the Mount and rally for Our Cross and sign
petitions, take petitions back to your neighborhood (in the city of San
Diego) and make a public statement of your support for Our Cross. KOGO’S
Mark Larson broadcasts from Mt. Soledad from 12 - 3p and then ROGER takes
over from 3p - 6p. While you are there pick up a free Cross to put on
display at your home. While they last. The Crosses are free but a donation
allows us to produce more. You may also get a free Cross at ROGER’S radio
station…again as long as they last.

We also have small stick on Crosses for your car window or home window or
wherever. Produced for us for free by Fletcher Products in Pacific Beach.
Pick them up at the station as well.

WHAT HAVE WE LEFT OUT…we have the website, the petitions, constant media
exposure on San Diego talk radio, a bank account, incoming campaign funds,
our church effort, our Friday rally, a well organized committee to honcho
things…looks like we’re on track.

DEADLINE FOR PETITIONS TO BE TURNED IN AND/OR MAILED IS APRIL 1ST. We must
have 100-thousand (or more) petitions returned. The actual number legally
required is 33-thousand and the actual drop dead deadline is April 7th,
but we’re leaving zip to chance. 100-K BY APRIL 1ST.

YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED VOTER IN THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO TO SIGN THE
PETITION. You may live anywhere on the planet to donate and/or volunteer
in our effort. We can use church loot from Point Orango, Minnesota. The
mailing address for check donations is on the website:
http://soledadnational.com/

ROGER spent a good part of last evening on the phones doing the old
political fund raising trick. He knows more folks than most and most have
some money buried out in the backyard. He had friends digging up cans all
night long. His calls bore fruit. Before we head to the station today we
have to stop by and pick up a check for $25-thousand dollars. Yikes!!

On Monday evening ROGER went to the County GOP meeting and won the
endorsement of that group to Save Our Cross.

TODAY ON THE RADIO we’ll get the formal endorsement of our Save Our Cross
effort from San Diego Mayor Dick Murphy. Tune in early for that.

OTHER STUFF…we’re told a lawsuit may be filed against the Soledad Memorial
Association today for soliciting funds under false pretenses…we explained
that in last flash.

We’ve been admonished by many to stop talking about Saving Our Cross and
play nice about saving the Memorial. Burp!! Not here!! The memorial exists
because Our Cross exists and Saving Our Cross saves the memorial as well,
tho we hope not the memorial association…them folks can go straight
to…..Valentine, Texas. The courts won’t take kindly to talk of Saving A
Cross we’re told. We’re seriously bout tired about what courts think about
Our Cross (and marriage for that matter). Court folks can end up in
V-town, Texas as well.

SAVE OUR CROSS CHAIN GANG…guess we’ve got hundreds of folks signed up to
stand between the bulldozers and Our Cross by now. Folks my age (yikes)
and youngsters. All over Southern California…you don’t need to be a San
Diego city resident to stand down a bulldozer. Drop me an email and I’ll
add you to our list: jimmyv@adnc.com .

FUN STUFF FROM THE INSIDE…you’ve heard the story about ROGER and his Cross
at Clearchannel, yes? If not listen up. He may re-tell the tale again
today. Too fun!! (burp).

And a tale that will have to wait til the writing of a book happens
yesterday at a local communications outlet that shall remain un-named (for
now). Folks kicked off property!! Because? Well that’s part of the stuff
that makes books sell real good!! We’re squirreling this stuff away for
our retirement nest egg…Yikes X 3. And some juicy stuff about wording of
the petition. (you heard none of this hear…you hear?)

MUTTERINGS

**ROGER ON VACATION MARCH 23 - APRIL 2ND….but fear not. We’re developing
an on-air strategy that will keep our show focus on Saving Our Cross and
Saving America (Hold Their Feet To The Fire XI). Watch this space for
details. We promise great listening as well as talk to keep our momentum
going on both campaigns. Hint: Bring a cup of coffee and we’ll tell
stories about today and the good ole days. We’ll tell you ours if you tell
us yours!!

**HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE XI…got some help yesterday from
www.grassfire.org . A national group whose website gets hit like a million
times. They are up and promoting our April 23 - 28th American Talk Radio -
Citizen-Lobby effort to Washington, D.C. We have like 300 folks signed on
right now to pay their own way to D.C. to demand no amnesty, no licenses
for illegals, secure our border, pay states and cities and counties back
for loot spent to capture, hold and provide welfare and health care for
illegals. We’re gonna fight to end the practice of “anchor babies,” and to
support our Border Patrol. And we’re gonna demand that the White House and
State Department get damned mad and help us get folks who kill America
Police Officers out of Mexico. That’s our SHORT LIST!!

ROGER and a score of other radio hosts will broadcast in D.C. while our
listeners lobby every single member of the House and Senate. We have a
radio row set up thanks to Talk Radio News Service in D.C. We’ll be at the
Holiday Inn/Capital Hill broadcasting. We’ll have a media room set up
there as well.

AND our trip comes just as the Patriots known as the Minutemen end their
month long vigil in Arizona…on the bloody border showing solidarity with
our Border Patrol Agents. Many of those Patriots will join us in D.C. as
well to tell their tales of invasion by terrorists, drug runners, human
smugglers and fill in the blank.

YOU NEED TO COME WITH US TO D.C….we’ve been harping on this for a couple
of months now…and time is wasting. We’re less than 6 weeks out and it’s
time to rise from your comfy couch, stop writing to the editor who laughs
at your letters, stop calling talk shows and ranting but not doing
nothing…tivo the Desperate Housewives and whatever the name of that talent
show is…and get to work with us. As talk radio host Tammy Bruce said
yesterday on ROGER’S show, quoting the title of a country western hit
song, it’s time “FOR A LITTLE LESS TALK AND A LOT MORE ACTION.” The gal
has that right!!

GET INFO AND BOOK PASSAGE …info at www.fairus.org or
www.rogerhedgecock.com and then call our hotline and sign your check and
sign on with us. 866-929-0098 or sandra49@pacbell.net .

And please don’t call Sandy or email her and rant about the horrors of
illegal immigration. She ain’t a radio talkshow host. She just wants to
put your butt in an aeroplane seat and a hotel room for a very cheap
price. If you are not gonna leap into action, drop another line to your
editor buddy and fill up his waste can. Yeeeech!!

**HOMEFRONT SAN DIEGO…The calls that come into our hotlline 866-424-9467
are touching…both from folks who want to help our San Diego based military
families and the family folks themselves. A wife whose husband ships out
this Friday needs a computer so she and the kids can stay in touch while
daddy is at war. A female Marine up at Pendleton comes home after her tour
in Iraq to a brokt down VW. A family moves to San Diego as the Warrior
transfers to a new ship here and they have no furniture…zip, nadda,
nothing. Babies need diapers and formula. A lady who makes quilts wants to
make sure that every wounded Warrior coming home to San Diego gets a
special welcome home quilt.

ROGER and our listeners have been at this Homefront San Diego operation,
along with a cast of remarkable military wife volunteers since the fall of
2001. Our commitment is constant. We have ships leaving on a regular
basis. Our Warrior Marines deploy nearly everyday. Behind they leave loved
ones who worry, cry and count hours until a safe return. The least we can
do is to be there when that family has a need OF ANY KIND!! We are, we
will be thanks to the help we get from hundreds of local businesses, The
Navy league of San Diego and folks who will drive a wounded Warrior to the
hospital, a restaurant that will buy dinner for Warrior patients at Balboa
Hospital…on and on.

If you want to help or know of a military family that needs help…one
number to call toll free…866-424-9467.

GOD BLESS AMERICA
