Peter White
tells us that he’s working on a follow-up to his 1994 "Reflections" album, which is a collection of cover songs from the 70s and remains one of his most popular CDs.  The release date hasn't been announced yet.

Jeff Golub just finished his sixth album and it’s due to be released in May.  This is actually his first CD on the Narada Jazz label and he’s calling it "Temptation."

Dave Koz and several of his Rendezvous Entertainment label-mates will have a major musical role in the upcoming independent motion picture called Cages.  Also featured will be Praful, Marc Antoine and “Chill” artists Astro and The Black Mighty Orchestra.

Mindi Abair is going to perform on this year’s incarnation of the Guitars & Saxes tour, which makes her the first female member since the tour began in 1995.  Also appearing will be Wayman Tisdale, Jeff Golub and Warren Hill.

Norman Brown will debut a new all-star tour this summer, which begins in May.  Joining him will be Brenda Russell, Peabo Bryson and Everette Harp.

With Spring just around the corner, it's time to start thinking about freshening up my personal CD collection, and this is definitely the month to make it happen.  March 1st marked the return of Basia with the group she began her career with, Matt Bianco. Their new CD is "Matt's Mood."

Denver-based sax man Nelson Rangell delivers his take on the new standards with "My American Songbook," due March 8th.  On the 15th, Paul Taylor returns with "Nightlife," and Ramsey Lewis, with inspired crew, The Urban Knights, will be out with "Urban Knights VI."

On the 22nd, it's another double-shot of HOT as we find Chieli Minucci's "Got It Goin' On" and the Yellowjackets "Altered States" on the shelves.  To round out March, on the 29th it's David Benoit's "Millenium Collection - 20th Century Masters," "Duke" from Big Daddy George Duke, and "American/English" from Acoustic Alchemy.

If you think Spring is going to be hot, just wait until Summer!  To be continued...

All the best,
