The Planet 103.7 Newsletter (November 23, 2004)

  Hi David,
SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO ... SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO ...
After a weekend of turkey, in-laws and mall traffic, you deserve something cool to start your week. Monday is your first chance to qualify for a home theatre system unlike any other, a Bose Lifestyle 38 Home Theatre System worth over $3,000! Plus you can win Spider-Man 2 on DVD from Blockbuster. Cindy Pace from 103.7 The Planet has your first chance to qualify Monday while you listen at work!
THIS SUNDAY: JIM AND JIMI THIS SUNDAY: JIM AND JIMI
Two Classic Rock legends take the spotlight this Sunday. Jim McInnes of Classic Rock 103.7 The Planet hosts "The Vinyl Resting Place" Sunday night at 6. Hear two hours of lost classics from Jim's personal collection of vinyl LPs. Then Sunday night at 10, The Planet will profile Jimi Hendrix's short, but incredible career.
SPEAKING OF CINDY PACE SPEAKING OF CINDY PACE
This weekend we have lots to be thankful for. Others aren't so lucky. This Tuesday at noon, Cindy Pace hosts her 3rd annual Outback Benefit lunch for kids at The Monarch School. For a $10 donation you get an Outback Steak, autographs from Tim Dwight and other San Diego Chargers and help homeless kids here in San Diego. Click HERE to reserve your seat.
BAD TASTE OR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT? BAD TASTE OR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT?
A 17-year-old high school senior, an avid hunter, has filed a federal lawsuit against his school for rejecting this photo for his school yearbook. Even though other students pose with sports equipment and musical instruments, school officials think it's in bad taste after the Columbine tragedy. Cast your opinion HERE.
PANEL ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS PANEL ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS
Who cares about your opinion? We do! We're accepting new members for our music advisory board: The Planet Music Panel. Twice a month you'll give your opinion about music you hear on 103.7 The Planet. We not only adjust our playlist to match your feedback, we also give you a chance to win a $200 prize from Blockbuster: 52 free DVD rentals for all of 2005! Join our Panel HERE.
CONGRATS ARE IN ORDER CONGRATS ARE IN ORDER
We'd like to thank the Scorpions, House of Blues Concerts and most importantly YOU for the massive success of "Show Us Your Cans!" More than 5,000 cans of food were donated to the San Diego Food Bank over three days. Dom D'agostino of Santee donated the most number of cans (1,177!) and was personally thanked by the Scorpions Tuesday night at Cox Arena.
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend, David
