Soto reports that the skyline of Spanish-language radio is going through some changes as of late, namely two that went from Spanish to English: MORE-FM 98.9 switching from Rock in Spanish to Hip Hop, and last week, KURS 1040, after 12 years of broadcasting in Spanish from day one, changed to English-languaage programming and a new talk/nostalgia music format. La Super K is now called "America's Best Music on K 1040", said Carbajal, and features "adult standards" music, news, and talk radio, including a show hosted by local activist Enrique Morones and San Diego City Councilman Ralph Inzunza. Some of La Super K's shows will move to other local stations owned by locally-based Pacific Spanish Network, the station's parent company, such as Romnantica 560 and Tropical 780 AM. Last month, Radio Latina 104.5 FM got sold to a Mexican radio chain, while K-LOVE 102.9 FM changed its name to Viva 102.9 to better represent its evolving format.
