91X News (March 3, 2004)

Get Off, E-File Style... How would you like to "Get Off With Mountain High"? For the rest of the week, 91X is tossing out Mountain High lift tickets like Oscars to Peter Jackson! Plus, since you're an E-filer, when you win, you'll also get Off...spring tickets to the April 18th show at SDSU's Open Air Theater before they go on sale this Saturday at noon. You know you wanna "Hit That," so listen to the X this week!

Speaking of the Offspring... If you don't happen to get in on the phone lines this week to win your Mountain High lift tickets and Offspring tickets, don't fret! Get the E-File only link to the 91X internet pre-sale HERE (the password is SPLINTER). The pre-sale starts Friday, March 5th from 10am-10am, a full day before the general public can buy them on Saturday!

Well, there goes another golf course we've been banned from. The 3rd Annual Brand X Punk Rock Pro-Am was a hit! Or rather, a splash! The weather was frightful, but the day was delightful! Check out the killer video courtesy of KSWB 5/69, plus peep the photos of the good times and the Pete Thurston Punk Rock Pro-Am tribute! In other picture news, Brand X listener Armine offered up his 1984 Volvo to be sprayed painted like the 'Starsky & Hutch ' Grand Torino... all in the name of advanced screening movie passes. Incidentally, he NEVER attended the movie but he walked away with the ultimate souvenier... or, maybe not. The uber hot Carmen Electra also checked in to discuss the film. Next week, the launch of the Brand x-Pod and the 'O.C.'s ' Adam Brody checks in.

Get Local at TNT... Join 91X for this Thursday at 7pm at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego on the corner of Kettner and Broadway downtown for the monthly Thursday Night Thing. Catch cool art exhibits, live music from local acts Scarlet Symphony and Operatic, plus a handful of culture for your mind!

91X's All Request Weekend... It's an election year, and our duty is to take care of our constituents (that's you, the listener). Thanks for voting 'Yes' on Prop. 91, which turns the airwaves over to you. Starting Friday afternoon it's an 'All Request Weekend' as mandated by the voters. We'll play only your requests! Call in any time this weekend, request a song, and we'll play it. And you can take that to the bank...
