The plans are to broadcast live from both the Wildcat Canyon and Valley Center area next week. Lend a hand to fire victims in both communities. If we can get phone lines in we’ll do our first show on Monday…from the Barona area. Those folks got hit as hard as anyone and lost more lives than any single community. It’s gonna be a tough Christmas for hundreds of families in each town. We’ll help as much as we can. And yes we’ll endure more horror stories of gummint bungling. Lives and homes lost because warnings were not issued and evacuation planning nonexistent. There really is no end to the tales of terror. Stock up on Pepto this weekend. You’ll need it even with the boss on holiday.

**THE CHARGERS DEAL continues to baffle us. The Spanos folks are real upset with San Diego and we can’t really figure out why. Citizens there already spent millions to upgrade the Q for Superbowl play. They also pay the Spanos family millions each year for empty seats that can’t be filled because the team sucks so very bad. What do folks do to please the Chargers? A brand new stadium and free land sounds like a bit much. Maybe Inzunza could take Alex and Dean to Cheetahs? Nobody is going to the Chargers games. So if they leave is that a big deal?

Channel 933 - Holiday Lights 2003.

From signonsandiego: AJ's lift! Stunts staged by radio personalities are alive and well in San Diego County. But the one starting at 6 a.m. Friday at Grossmont Center is for a good cause. KHTS/FM 93.3's ("Channel 933") AJ Machado will live atop a crane until he collects 20,000 toys for "AJ's Kids." That's double what he raised last year. This year's lift takes place on the east side of the La Mesa shopping center (off I-8 and Grossmont Center Drive near the Claim Jumper restaurant). Host of 933's weekday morning gab, music and humor fest "AJ's Playhouse," Machado expects to stay on the crane through next Wednesday morning. Toys collected will be turned over to San Diego Children's Hospital, which presents some of the items to patients during the holidays, and stores others and distributes them throughout the upcoming year.

The Star Zone robs your bandwidth by installing spyware, and won't work in non-Windows AND non-Internet Explorer (which is dangerous anyway). Don't use Outlook or Internet Explorer because of security issues. Microsoft can't do software right.
