DFSXmas Now Plays Funny Christmas Music Part Time 11-26-03!Tried of listening to some radio station playing their idea of Christmas music, one that plays crooners and smooth vocalists that make you yawn and put you to sleep. Is this what Christmas music has to be?Not if you're listening to a Christmas radio station run David Tanny, one that is guaranteed not to make you yawn, cry, or make you go postal. DFSXmas is our answer to radio stations that play endless remakes of the same old carols by contemporary artists who haven't got any original material to work with. DFSXmas will air beginning Wednesday from 3pm and continue until Saturday at 6am. DFSXmas will air all day Sundays, and the following week, DFSXmas will air Wed-Fri from 5pm-3am, with more hours as it gets closer to Christmas Day. DFSX will air the regular music format during the daytime, and all day Mon, Tue, and Sat, as well as two new installments of "I Still Get Demented" on Mon, Tue, and Sat for eight hours apiece. DFSXmas will air comedy recordings dating from 1936 with Ben Lite's "Christmas Balls" and play anything that's funny or weird as long as its related to Christmas such as recordings from Spike Jones from the 40's, Stan Freberg from the 50's, David Seville and The Chipmunks from the 60's, Cheech and Chong from the 70's, Bob Rivers from the 80's to today, The Arrogant Worms from the 90's, American Comedy Network and Buck Howdy from the 00's, and everything else you can imagine in between, well over 700 Christmas novelty songs and bits, most of which are not found in any record stores locally, but purchased on the Internet including Bob and Tom's latest Christmas novelty CD called "Mistletoe" available at bobandtom.com DFSXmas is also taking suggestions for Christmas novelty songs. XM Channel 30 Goes All Funny Christmas Too 11-26-03!Special X the "none of the above" channel on XM Satellite radio, is going all Christmas from Thanksgiving through Christmas day for those who have a subscription to XM radio in your car or in your house. Unlike DFSX, this channel requires a paying subscription to listen.
Dr. Demento Presents Eight Christmas Shows 11-26-03!The Dr. Demento radio show will be airing four weeks of Christmas novelty music on syndicated radio, as well as four past shows through the year 2002 on XM Radio channel 30, all at the show's regular times. That's eight two-hour shows folks! Wow!Note: the syndicated Dr. Demento does not air on any radio station in Southern California.
