91X Update 10-11-03!

The 91X Brand X-Orcism is Hiding Around the Corner... This Halloween, 91X and Brand X Morning Radio are your (g)hosts for a resurrection of 91X artists including Dead Man's Party, the Oingo Boingo tribute band and the Smiths tribute band, Sweet and Tender Hooligans. 91X Skratch N' Sniff DJ Mike Czech spins in his grave to kick off the night while Brand X Morning Radio scares up a wicked costume contest. The San Diego Music Awards... 91X was first with local music. And with the S.D. Music Awards around the corner, we continue to support the local scene. Join 91X at our local music showcase at the Whistle Stop in South Park on Sunday night with Ryan Ferguson of No Knife, and don't forget about The San Diego Music Awards on Tuesday at Humphrey's with performances by the Accident Experiment, Steve Poltz, and many more. And don't forget to check out Loudspeaker Mondays after 'Loveline.'

Come find 91X around town this weekend. Join us (last night) for Oktoberfest in Ocean Beach at Dusty Rhoades Park. There will be great local live music, a beer garden and 91X, of course. 91X welcomes legend Paul Weller to 4th and B Saturday Night and Sunday we will be watching football at Mc Gregor's in Mission Valley over by the stadium from 1-3pm with some Queens of the Stone Age tickets in our pockets. 91X Update 10-4-03!

91X... 20 Years in 20 Days began Thursday. I just caught the 1986 day of 91X Friday (they began it Thursday with 1992.) Hilary counts the top ten of each year weekdays at 5pm while Chris Cantore and Robin Roth count up the songs as voted by San Diegans during each year each day Monday through Friday. These surveys are not from trade magazines, just from the radio station 91X and its listeners.

20 Years in 20 Days... Listen to 91X as We play back songs form each year of our past... Every weekday morning at 9am, we'll countdown songs 11-20. And in the 5pm hour on your way home, check out songs 1-10 of that year... not to mention that we'll be playing other songs of that year throughout the day... We'll do a year every weekday in October for our whole 20 year history...

The 91X Haunted Hotel opened up Friday night. On Sunday morning at 8am, join 91X for a good cause. It's AIDS Walk San Diego in Balboa Park.
