Star 100.7 - can't access some of their sections due to their stupid Star Zone IE addon requirement. At least their competetors don't have that restriction so I can use my trusty Netscape 7.1 browser to access them. IE is dangerous to use. I don't reccomend it. I just want to browse, not add any more junk to my hard drive.

SD City Beat on Street Beat last week: Locals Only... Dick’s Last Resort can thank 94/9 for a successful “Free on Fifth” event, which was held outside of Street Scene’s boundaries and packed people in to see bands like Rocket from the Crypt and Bad Credit. Though the brass at the station denies it, insiders say it was indeed a protest because Clear Channel had exclusive rights to Street Scene this year. While not big fans of the San Antonio Cartel and all for the not-as-corporate folks protesting, we do have to ask: If 94/9 were offered an exclusive deal with Street Scene, would they have taken it? You bet yer sweet ass. Our suggestion: Next year 94/9 should team with other independent stations—92/1, KPRI, etc.—and offer a cross-promotional deal to Street Scene that approximates what behemoth Clear Channel can bring to the table.

KBIG 104.3 up in LA LA Land has expanded two weeknight dance mix shows. Boogie Nights, a mix of dance hits from the disco era through the pop remixes of today, now airs four hours from 7-11pm, followed by a new time for another remix show, Remix Radio, and now going from 11pm until 2am.
