Radio Poll: Messageboard 4-17-03!

I have come to the conclusion that since there is potential for regular activity on a radio forum, but many people won't use it because it's not busy, and it won't get busy unless people use it (catch 22), there will be no Southern California radio messageboard in the near future. You can still e-mail the editor if you have issues about radio or Internet music and the best ones will get posted.

1. Would you like to see a messageboard (no login required) from Cal Radio News?
Answer: Yes 5, No 2.

2. Would you visit the board everyday?
Answer: No 7, Yes 0.

3. Would you be an active participant in the board (post questions and answers, rumors, blurts, and other radio-related matters)?
3. Answer: Yes 2, No 5.

4. Would you just like to lurk and not post (if we were all just lurkers, nothing would be posted, therefore, the board would be boring).
4. Answer: No 1, Yes 6.

5. What are your favorite radio topics (examples: talk shows, sports talk, music, sports broadcasts, audience participation shows, dance mix shows, shows that are not carried in San Diego but on the Internet, etc.)
Answer: most selected talk shows, but this would require a lot more regular visitors like around 50 a day to make an active discussion.

6. Would you like to be actively discussing new music or guests that you've heard on the stations (San Diego, LA, or on the Internet).
6. Answer: Yes 2, No 5.

7. Are you a regular listener of any radio stations streaming on the Internet that originate outside San Diego and are willing to be an active participant in discussing your experiences with Internet radio?
7. Answer: No 4, Yes 3.

8. Where did you read or hear about this website (a friend and you don't need to name the person, name a referring webstie, name a mailing list, from the author, etc.)
Answer: most selected search engine, nobody suggested davesfunstuff.com which links to this website.

9. And finally, what features would you like to contribute (playlists, news scoops, columns, opinion pieces, etc.) to Cal Radio News?
Answer: most said opinion pieces, but since most said they would not participate regularily, and not enough people answered the survey, this issue is now closed.
