Winter 2003 Ratings Period 1
Here's how the ballot stacked up for the month of January 2003. Listeners came back from being busy
with the Christmas holiday season when listening to Internet radio was seasonally down as people were busy shopping and spending
time with their families and friends.
Registered voters have been sending in what stations they listened to each day via e-mail and registration
number, and as for Arbitron, their idea of restrictive voting is outdated and useless for today's music listening
base.
Also note that since many radio stations stopped streaming, their numbers went down, and some such as KPEZ out of Austin, TX,
have been removed from the ballot altogether. Added to the ballot once again is WLUP 97.9 "The Loop" Chicago, which longtime website
visitors know is the home of Dr. Demento radio show Sundays at 9pm (for those who cant get KOZT's busy web streams) as they have been depending
on since 1996.
