Spring 2002 Evalutrons: KYXY is #1 (June 2002)The secret Spring Evalutron ratings are out, and they're broken into two camps due to problems with the suits agreeing on how to base the ratings on.In one case, the Classic Evalutrons put KYXY as the most listened radio station in San Diego; not just music, but overall! The complete ratings follow... 1. KYXY 96.5 - 6.7 2. KFSD 92.1 - 5.9 3. DFSX (Internet) - 5.7 4. KPRI 102.1 - 4.9 5. KCBQ 1170 - 4.2 6. KFMB-FM 100.7 - 3.6 7. KIFM 98.1 - 3.5 8. KSON 97.3 - 3.12 (won tie-breaker) 9. XHRM 92.5 - 3.1 10. KBIG 104.3 - 3.05 11. KFMB-AM 760 - 3.0 12. KOGO-AM 600 - 2.5 13. XMORE-FM 98.9 - 2.3 14. XTRA-FM 91.1 - 2.1 15. KIOZ-FM 105.3 - 1.9 16. KSDS 88.3 - 1.0Taking a dive are stations KOGO 600 and KFMB 760, whose coverage of the Westerfield trials are generating no interested to the listeners in the survey. Also dropping sharply are Z90, which lost the classic R&B old school since Clear Channel took over the station in May. KGB and Planet-FM are not registering a blip on the radar.
