Day 16 part 2: Saturday Night's Alright For Fightin' (March 29, 2008 Gregorian date, Aqua 6, 2012 Milliean date).

The Penultimate Vernalmas Holiday Party in Sautee was the setting for the festivities. The party was located in Funita Ranch just off of county highway 95. All of our friends were there to enjoy the night of listening to pulsating techno and rave music under the stars.

There were 100 turntables and 25 deejays spinning and mixing the beats all on vinyl records. Vinyl is easier to mix with than mp3s. The deejays tried CDs and tape but they couldn't get the sequeueing mastered with the other media. Vinyl is still widely used on radio stations in the United Realms of America. Vinyl is the chief format for singles for 99 cents, which still is popular in the URA today. It's the preferred medium for purchasing singles. iGoons selling mp3s and downloads just didn't take off here when you consider that the fidelity of the vinyl is far superior, even with clicks and scratches, to a condensed mp3 file that doesn't sound as real.

We were also arming the party goers in the city with watches so they would be ready to throw them at the demons once 1:59 am came in Sautee, one minute before Daylight Saving Time. The special glue is covered with duct tape so that they won't stick to the throwers. When they're ready to throw it, they simply unwrap it from the tape and tag or throw it at the demons. The glue would stick for at least an hour.

Sid, Lance, and the militia woke up the demons from hellmouth underneath Sunnychip a few strategic minutes before 2am so that they would chase them into Funita Ranch and time it so that they would arrive at 1:59am.

It was 1:59am when the demons arrived. They were ready to attack and kill us. The armed partygoers unwrapped the sticky analog watches and tagged them onto the demons. About 500 or so watches were stuck. When we ran out, there were still a few demons that could attack us after the time change, so some of us kicked them around and managed to vanquish some of them with swords.

Now, most of us who aren't demons either has a digital watch that automatically changes the time whenever we enter a new time zone or change to Daylight or Standard time. Others have to make sure that they set their clocks before Daylight or Standard time begins in the time zone that they're in or else they would be transported into The Wrong Time Zone forever.

2am was reached. Our digital clocks read...2am??? Huh??? What happened??

The Sautee Times newspaper had the early paper delivered to the newsrack an hour ago. It says that the city of Sautee, which is in the Mountain West Time Zone, would no longer observe Daylight time so that they would be in sync with the small town of Sunnychip.

Rats!

The demons began to chase us around. We had to run to a nearby city that observed Daylight time, but El Zono Loco was five miles away.

2:02am Mountain West Standard time. The demons were attacking us. Some of the citizens were killed. The militia needed a plan though they were managing to hold some of them off with shells blasting from some tanks.

Scotty read the newspaper article some more and noticed that there is one small spot in Sautee that went on Daylight time, and that is located at, well, the Sautee graveyard which doubles as a antenna farm for six directional antennas for radio station AM 1170 KSEBQ, a 50kw powerhouse that blasts the oldies.

We had to get the demons to chase us to the KSEBQ radio station antenna farm and graveyard. It wasn't easy. We were tired out yet we had to fight some of them so that we could buy a few more minutes of survival. Some of them killed some more citizens. Some of them got killed by the militia. There were still over 600 or so demons after us.

2:15am Mountain West Standard Time. They chased us along Missing George Road as we went westwards and reached the KSEBQ radio station property. Some guards at the station had to be convinced by the militia that we had to be let into the antenna farm and graveyard so that the demons could enter it. The guards also told us in a terse tone that this property observes Daylight time. We all ran into the center of the graveyard section of the property. About 500 or so demons chased us into the graveyard.

A few minutes later, at 2:18am, or make that 3:18am Mountain West Daylight time, the analog watches stuck to the 400 or so surviving demons began to glow, and turned itself into a warp hurricane which engulfed the demons who didn't know they had to change their clocks, and then the demons were vanquished by the analog clocks.

There were still some 100 demons remaining in the graveyard part of the KSEBQ property. We and the militia fought the remaining demons. Mindy and Chachi used their martial arts skills to knock them down and vanquish them. Scotty and Angelina tripped some of the demons. Alyssa froze some of them with her spell, then kicked them towards some of the militia, and deactivated the spell so that the militia nearby could vanquish them with their knives attatched to their long barrell guns.

At 3:30am Mountain West Daylight Time, the remaining few dozen demons retreated back to the hellmouth underneath Sunnychip, vowing to regroup and attack. We didn't quite get rid of all of the demons, but we let them know that everybody in the city is capable of slaying a demon on their own.

At 4:00am Mountain West Daylight Time, we retreated to Scotty's house along county highway 97 and finally got some sleep. Me, Chachi, Scotty, Alyssa, Carlotta, and Angelina all slept in sound proof rooms. Mindy and Wilma were escorted home by the militia. Sid tried to make out with Nancy, one of the butch lesbian dates in the party, but struck out.

Time for a break from all this.
