This is Chachi filling in for David. Here's what happened to us on Thursday.

The main crew aboard the Starship Enterprise as well as some of my friends spent the day plotting a way to defuse the situation on the satellite Al.

To recap, Albert, Beverly, David, Scott, Hoss, Lenny, Alyssa, Carlotta, Mindy, and Wilma are aboard the Enterprise. Captain James T. Picard, Commander William Spock, Dr. Crush Phlox, engineer McKenzie La Forge, communucations officer Ulura, helmsman Suhu, navigator Gorbachev, security officer Lt. Gorf, counselor Traci Dean, android Lt. Commander Text, translator Maria Longoria, and some 400 other crew members were aboard.

Ulura has received a hailing message from the Emperor. It's apparent that the radars on Al have detected the spaceship. Picard says "on screen." The Emperor appears on the screen. He warns the crew that they plan to take out Erf if there are any photon missiles firing at Al or its rockets. Picard tells the Emperor that if Erf is blown up, then the fleet of the Federation will be ready to take him out of power and execute him for war crimes. The Emperor got even more mad and ordered a rocket to be fired at one of the satellites, Hiro. The rocket fired. Gorf tells Computer to fire a photon at the rocket. The photon fires and hits the rocket. The rocket explodes.

The Emperor then decides to fire a suicide spaceplanes at Erf and hit New Yolk. Picard asks the Emperor what's your purpose of sacrificing some of your people for your purposes. The Emperor tells them that his world army is known as Al Arqueda (Al Arcade-duh), and had his officers trick the pilots aboard the spaceplanes that when they hit New Yolk and take over seven million people with them to death, they will be rewarded with 1,000 virgins in heaven. Picard tells the Emperor that this is crazy and his spaceship will stop it. The Emperor tells Picard that the spaceplane will have a protective shield in place so that their photons won't be able to shoot it, and the spaceplane will have far more explosives than a single neturon bomb. Picard tells the Emperor that when the spaceship hits Erf, we will use our powerlasers to destroy you and your immediate army as we know where you live. The Emperor tells Picard that he's getting the pilots ready to launch and hit Erf and he won't be stopped, then he stopped communicating.

Picard swears "oh s--t!" Albert tells Picard that Erf's armed forces are not ready for this kind of outer space attack.

Mindy asks Wilma, Scott, Alyssa, La Forge, Text, and David to talk with them in private in a conference room. Mindy tells La Forge that maybe Mindy can push back the suicide spaceplane away from Erf if she can be beamed to Erf. Text tells Mindy that the range of the travel the transporter can handle from the Enterprise to La Forge is way too far even for the transporter straight out of the 37th century.

Mindy suggests that there is hope, and suggests that Wilma should have enough powers of her own to be able to beam herself and Mindy to Erf. Wilma says to Mindy that she could beam her and Mindy back to Erf, but she's never done this kind of witchcraft before. Scott tells Wilma that they're going to need Alyssa come along with them to Erf and that she could handle it. Wilma has doubts about it. David tells Wilma that if Sabrina can beam herself to Saturn to ride the roller coaster on the rings of Saturn, Wilma can beam herself and her friends back to Erf, so Wilma should concentrate. Wilma tells David she hopes that what he sees on TV works for her, but doesn't understand the significance of a roller coaster on the rings of Saturn.

Text brings up a witches transport spell for her to use. It's the one that the crew from a past Enterprise had been experimenting on and it was the one that would match the feat Sabrina made to Saturn. Wilma holds the hands of Alyssa and Mindy, recites the spell, then they energize and disappear.

Back on Erf, they appear in Times Cube in New Yolk City.

Meanwhile, back on the spaceship, Scott, David, Text, and La Forge return to the bridge. Text tells Picard that Wilma beamed herself, Alyssa, and Mindy to Erf to be ready for action. Picard asked if he heard from them since they beamed out on their own. Text tells Picard that he's heard nothing from them yet.

On Al, the Emperor had his suicide pilots knighted symbolically and tells them that 1,000 virgins are waiting for them upon shedding their bodies and taking seven million people on Erf with them. The pilots are escorted to the suicide spaceplane.

As they are escorted by the Al military, the explorer team beam down with phasers set on stun, and begin to attack the Al military. The Al military fight back with spears and knives, but the explorer team shot their weapons down. As they're fighting, the pilots duck and leave, only to be captured by Hoss and Spock. As the pilots admit defeat, a suicide spaceplane begins to take off. Hoss and Spock captured the decoy pilots. The real pilots have made their way to the spaceplane in the guise of the Al military. The spaceplane takes off and heads towards Erf. Some of the Al military tells the explorer crew that it looks like their mission has been defeated.

Spock tells La Forge to beam the explorer team back to the Enterprise. La Forge does. The explorer team also brought back the fake pilots for questioning.

Picard demands to know from the fake pilots what's in the rockets that were hitting Rush. The pilots spoke in a language that was completetly foreign even to Picard's ears. The translator Maria Longoria made a note of what the fake pilots said and she translated it into English. The fake pilots said that the rockets are full of liquid helium that explodes on contact with the heat from Rush, and that causes Rush to burn hotter and brighter; they also told Picard that they've readied a large rocket that will contain so full of liquid helium that it will cause Rush to turn into a mini-Sun on its own with no more firings necessary, but they haven't stockpiled enough liquid helium to be transported to do the job. Picard asks the fake pilots if there was a way that the suicide spaceplane can be defeated. The fake pilots say that the only way that the spaceplane can be defeated is if a solar wind from the Sun throws them off by just a fraction of a degree in course, causing it to miss Erf and head into the Sun or to outer space.

Back on Erf in New Yolk, Wilma uses her keen sense of sight and senses that the suicide spaceplane is within a minute of striking Erf. Mindy also sees it coming in a fireball. Alyssa tells Mindy to use her push powers to stop it in the air. Within a mile from striking New Yolk, Mindy activates her super push power, but it slowed it down in half, but didn't stop it. Wilma asks Alyssa to stop time so that Wilma can zap herself to the spaceplane and shift course. Within a half a mile of striking New Yolk, Alyssa activated the time freeze spell, and everything on Erf and the spaceplane stopped cold. Wilma zaps herself to the spaceplane and gets inside the cockpit. She sees the two suicide pilots frozen up in Alyssa's spell. Wilma takes both of the pilots and sets them so that instead of them steering the steering wheel, they're laying on top of them. Alyssa's frozen spell ceases after a minute. Everything on Erf moves again. The two pilots suddenly find themselves on top of the steering wheels and their weight is pushing them down, causing the suicide plane to curve and just miss hitting the Empire Strikes Back Building by a hair. The plane curves until it flies parallel to the city. Mindy uses her push powers to make it move upwards and out of Erf's orbit. The pilots recover and try to steer it back to Erf, but Wilma is still in the cockpit and casts a spell that froze their arms and legs so that they can't move, then set the steering wheel so that the spaceplane heads out towards the Sun. Wilma zaps herself out of the spaceplane just as it leaves the Erf's orbit. The panicking pilots were powerless to move their arms and legs under Wilma's spell. By the time Wilma's spell wore off, it was too late for them to steer away from the Sun as the heat from the Sun caused the spaceplane to explode once it reached the orbit of the planet Lincoln.

News reached the Emperor of Al, and he was so mad that he exploded in anger. The explorer team beam back into the Emperor's office and arrested him for war crimes. Other members of the Enterprise ceased his military. Control of the military went to the Emperor's successor, the Prince, who told the military to cease fighting at once.

Spock told the Prince that his ship and the Federation will help Al's inhabitants make the satellite rotate so that there won't be any more need for Rush to be turned into a Sun. The Prince asked Spock how that could be done. Spock told the Prince that he will call the Federation for three special ships that are equipped to help a planet rotate on its. Spock asked the Prince how long Al hasn't been rotating on its axis. The Prince tells Spock that it's been going on ever since the military has been mining the planet for magnetic materials to help create fuel for their automobiles, but they mined so much that they caused Al to stop rotating. Spock tells the Prince that they can also help them replace the lost magnetic materials deep into Al and help them manufacture solar panels and wind panels that generate energy as electricity and fuel. The Prince agrees. The explorer team beam out back onto the Enterprise.

Picard asks Gorbachev to set a course for Erf. Suhu sets the drive to Warp factor one and heads towards Atantica Island.

At 11pm Atlantica Daylight Time, 6pm Pacific Standard Time, the Enterprise finally reaches the Atlantica Air and Space Station and onto the naval air landing strip. Wilma zapped herself, Mindy, and Alyssa back to the naval air landing strip where they met their friends coming out of the Enterprise. Wilma says that she should start watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch DVDs for more witchcraft ideas.

Alyssa gives David a hug and a kiss. Mindy passionately kisses Wilma on the lips. Wilma resisted a bit, then begins lip locking with Mindy. Ooh. A shemale and a female kissing. Wow. What a sight.

The Colonel was informed by Picard that he and his crew will return to his time to call the Federation for assistance on helping the satellite Al regain its ability to rotate on its axis and for their inhabitants to switch to solar energy. The Colonel thanked Picard and the crew for defusing the situation. Picard thanked Mindy, Wilma, and Alyssa for saving New Yolk and possibly the Erf. Wilma said that if it weren't for Mindy to help encourage Wilma to travel a long distance by witchcraft, Erf wouldn't have been saved.

Worf and the Enterprise security team escorted the Emperor out of the ship and into the hands of the Atlantica Military Police, who arrested the Emperor and would have the government take him to a prison for trial for war crimes against Erf.

Albert, Beverly, David, Scott, Hoss, Lenny, Alyssa, Carlotta, Mindy, and Wilma bid farewell to the crew of the Starship Enterprise. The crew reenter the ship and take off of the landing strip. The Enterprise leaves on warp factor three, then disappears into a time warp portal as they go back to the year 3647 A.D. so they can tell their current Federation leaders about the situation, then return to the year 2727 A.D. to finish off the mission they were in the middle of, whatever mission it was.

My friends decided to stay on Atlantica Island for Friday and have some fun there. They plan to return Saturday afternoon. They can tell us what happened Friday in the next diary entry.

Meanwhile on Thursday, I and Angelina celebrated our friends' victory of saving Erf by going to Green Acorns to help Lance and Gina move into their new condo. I can't just help but think that if in the real world, if the people in Salem, Massachussetts didn't execute the witches and let them have children, their descendants might have existed to be able to save the World Trade Center among other heroic feats. We'll never know now.

In the Vernalmas Madness tournament, yesterday, there were 64 games played with 128 teams out of 8,192 that survived. This afternoon, there were 32 games played with 64 teams out of 8,192 that survived.

We saved the cheerleader, Mindy, years ago before she was a cheerleader. This year, Mindy helped our friends and crew save the world.

Oh yes, we went to the Corny Casino in Weird Al Pine and had an evening dinner under the stars. The giant movie screen, the same kind we used to see in drive-in theaters, began showing The Wizard of Oz with the audio from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" almost perfectly synched up with the movie. Just go to You Tube and do a search on "Wizard of Oz Dark Side" and you should find some clips there for yourself. No kidding. This is for the real world as well.

After Thursday was done, we retired and stayed over Lance and Gina's place as we were too tired. Wendy and Angelina went back to their home for Conan. We hired security to look after my and Scott's homes while we were away.

I should have Friday's log in Saturday afternoon before I leave to meet my returing folks.
