This is Chachi filling in for David. Sorry this is taking so long, but due to time lags, the diaries will be a day late each day. I'll do the best as I can to recap what has been going in since Tuesday.
Since the space transmissions from the Starship Enterprise to Erf take time to travel and the messages from David to me may come irregularily, I'll be posting these essentially a day late until David and the folks return.
To recap, David, Scott, Hoss, Lenny, Alyssa, and Carlotta left early Tuesday morning for an airplane trip to Atlantica Island. From what I was told, they joined Professor Albert Edison the scientist who had been on the island since last week. His wife Dr. Beverly "Bones" McCoy joined the six for the trip on Tuesday. They met up with the Colonel of the air base on Atlantica Island, and they were introduced to the crew of the Starship Enterprise. Seemed that most of them were descendants of the original crew members.
There were Captain James T. Picard, Commander William Spock, Dr. Crush Phlox, engineer McKenzie La Forge, communucations officer Ulura, helmsman Suhu, navigator Gorbachev, security officer Lt. Gorf, counselor Traci Dean, android Lt. Commander Text, translator Maria Longoria, and some 400 other crew members were aboard.
They were introduced to the crew, who were briefed on what had been going on the satellite Al, and have dealt with something like that on a solar system some 10,000 light years away and in the year 3,643 A.D. where a planet was trying to get a small ball of hyrodgen to fuse into a Sun, but the plan backfired when they fired too many nuclear waste barrels into it, causing the Sun to explode. The crew barely made it out alive as it beamed up as many of the people on the planet to the ship before it had to leave the area due to the rapidly expanding Sun, which grew into a supernova so big that it engulfed the planet and killing all life. The crew had since found another inhabitable planet in another solar system for the survivors to move into. They dropped them off and the leaders on the planet helped them make it their new home.
They believe that they can beam down the explorer crew onto the satellite Al and talk to the inhabitants and get an explanation on why they are blasting rockets into the hyrodgen ball of gas Rush and what it is that they're using that's causing it to heat up and glow.
After David, Scott, Hoss, Lenny, Alyssa, and Carlotta were screened for space travel, they were ready to join the crew to blast off. Some of them are needed to beam down with the explorer crew.
They would be blasting off (or have already blasted off) early Wednesday morning Atlantica Island time. I'll have more on their adventure later this week.
I forgot to mention. The inhabitants of Al are on the dark side of the moon. I'm not sure if their space adventure will be synched up with the Pink Floyd album "Dark Side of the Moon", but these people aren't afraid to die for this mission, in which they might encounter people who need a brain, a heart, and some courage, or may encounter some wicked people who demand some money in the process. After that's over, let's hope that they can come home safely after all that.
Back here on Erf, early Tuesday morning, Conan informed Mindy that Mr. Smith the wizard has turned his ogre friend Ollie into a clone of Conan so that he can fill in while Conan travels to P-Nix to meet Millie who seems to be traveling to the same cities as Ana Tijuana is. Mindy tells Conan that he needs for Wilma to follow him on her broomstick in case she's needed.
Adam, Ben Jr., Joseph, and Hoss Jr. patrolled the Sunnychip area including the graveyard sites in it and nearby Sautee. No reports of any demons running loose.
Barb, Marcie, Patty, and Ellen watched the Vernalmas Madness college basketball tournament. Today, there were 128 games played with 256 teams out of 8,192 that survived.
I and Angelina went to Scotty's house to meet up with Wendy and Jennifer who were housesitting it. One of my friends, Lance, was there to do some work on Scotty's computer room, which needed some maintence done. Afterwards, we had a Breakfast Feast in the early afternoon as that day was Breakfast Feast Day on the Vernalmas Holiday calendar.
The ladies stayed at Scotty's house while I and Lance went out to Lance's radio station, which had to go off the air because he couldn't get it converted to digital in time at the end of 2011. We went out and found a digital transmitter, but the price was too high and we couldn't stretch our credit enough to get it. We then went on the town and drove out to the Corny Casino in Weird Alpine to try to win some money. Fortunately, we were chosen to appear in a game show that was being used for broadcast on one of the local channels. We played a game called "Card Steal", where we could steal someone else's good cards and throw them away until the winner gets a "21". We lost the game, but we got chosen to play another game show called "Which Girl Has Three Legs!" We won when we correctly selected a hot lady with a real bulge down below. The prize? We got to keep that lady with a real bulge. Her name was Gina. OK. She looked hot, but I'm happily married to Angelina, so I let Lance have her. Lance hesitated but then he thought "What the heck" and he kissed Gina. The game show emcee said that we won the grand prize because Lance kissed Gina the shemale. We won a digital radio station transmitter. I didn't know they could give those away, but they did. Lance got to keep Gina because Gina decided that she found a man she wanted.
The problem? Gina wanted to live in Weird Alpine. Lance enjoyed living in Lost Hoya. This was like Green Acres in reverse, except that the male preferred the city and the lady male preferred the country. I decided that they would have to either break up or move their home. Lance decided to move, saying goodbye to city life. Green Acorns, we are here!
We took Gina to her home, then I and Lance drove back to my house. We got back after the sun set. We were greeted by Sid the vampire, who told us that he senses that Mindy and Wilma will be needed to help out my friends aboard the Enterprise. We went to Mindy's house but she told me that Wilma flew to P-Nix with Conan, and the fake Conan turned back into Ollie the teenage ogre as Mr. Smith's spell wore off. Lance went back to his radio station to install the digital transmitter.
After 10pm, the real Conan and Wilma on a flying dragon returned to Mindy's house. We asked Conan why they left for P-Nix. Conan said that he wanted to find Millie, but it turns out that Millie is on a secret mission: she's a body double for Ana Tijuana and is used for distracting the teenage mob so that Ana can change back into Riley Syrup in real life after her concert is done. Millie and Riley are almost twins, but not quite. Millie told Conan that she will be back this Monday when Ana's tour ends Saturday night.
Lance returned and bought airplane tickets for Mindy and Wilma to go to Atlantica Island and to join the crew on the Enterprise. The girls took a recorder with my voice on it so that when they get there, I can tell David, Hoss, Scotty, and the rest that the girls need to be aboard to help them out and that he (or they) will explain why later.
The girls took off at the 11pm flight.
I decided to stay at Mindy's house to take care of her brother Conan.
That's about it for Tuesday. I'll have Wednesdays' recap tomorrow. I'm still waiting for David and the crew to update me on the space mission for Wednesday so that I can have a full log for Wednesday. Take care.
