Day 4: From El Zona to Atlantica and Back Again (March 17, 2008 Gregorian date, Blue 24, 2011 Milliean date).

It was 5am Pacific Standard Time when we got to the San Rubio Airport. I, Scotty, Hoss, Lenny, and Albert were dropped off by Cloud 13 Shuttle and we departed San Rubio at the 5:26 plane.

Chachi had to stay behind because his wife Angelina told him that the local militia needs a trainer for lessons on the latest methods of slaying the demons. Earlier Monday morning, over two dozen citizens and half a dozen of the militia were attacked or killed by the demons that were lurking around during the not-so-dark night. Chachi and Mindy went over to the San Rubio Militia Academy to train the troops how to use body movements to duck the demons more effectively and how to succeed in jamming a stake into the heart of the demons. Chachi told me that the lessons went well and the militia troops are passing the methods around to other troops. Many of them are trained in martial arts, but there are a few that needed to be enrolled for further training so that the troops would be better ready to deal with the demons. At the real dawn of the Sun, the demons return to hiding somewhere, but we're not sure where they're coming out of.

When we arrived at Atlantica Island, it was 9:00am, oops, make that 1:00pm Atlantic Time, oops, they're on Daylight Saving Time year round, so it's 2:00pm Atlantic Daylight Time. We had to move our clocks six hours ahead! Meanwhile, in New Yolk, it was 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time. We're still confused about these time changes.

Anyway, we arrived at the airport where a rental car was waiting for us. The attendants showed us the rental car we were going to use. Then we took off to Teenstar Records which was just a few blocks into Downtown Atlantica City. We arrived at the building and entered the reception area. The receptionist showed us the office of Roosevelt Carter, the owner of Teenstar Records.

We walked into his office where he was having a late lunch and was watching satellite TV.

Hoss greeted Roosevelt, but Roosevelt immediately countered with this greeting "Quiet. I'm watching Young and the Restless." So we just sat in the chairs and waited for Roosevelt to finish his own lunch break.

Here's a little bit of what we heard on the soap:

Jack: If we gauss him up a little bit, this could definitely work.

Sharon: It's worth a shot. Don't ja think?

Jack: Yea, I do. Hello, dad.

After the show faded, Roosevelt finished his lunch, and commented how great the acting was. He asked us to remember, weekdays from 2:30 to 3:30, Young and the Restless, no interruptions. Yes, we got it. Then he turned off the TV and greeted Hoss with a handshake and he introduced him to the four of us.

Roosevelt was wondering what he could do for Hoss and asked if it was about the popularity of Ana Tijuana. Hoss told him that it was about a starship project that he and his company was funding and was wondering if what a geek from an Internet radio show told him about it was true.

Roosevelt told us that it was true, but funding for the completetion of the starship was running short since he spent all of the billions of the royalties from selling Ana Tijuana merchandise, even during the Equimas holiday season. He doubted that the spaceship would be finished by the turn of the next decade.

Scotty suggested to Roosevelt that he wished for a new car two years ago and Santo Pedro got him one, and suggested that Roosevelt do the same because it's worth a shot and he's got nothing to lose.

Roosevelt asked why the hurry. We told him about the situation that's going on with the satellites Rush and Al, with humanoids or something from the planet Al firing rockets into the hydrogen ball Rush and causing it to light up and burn like the Sun, and a spaceship was needed to fly over 100,000 miles to near Al so we could find out what's going on with the people down there. Roosevelt doubted that Santo Pedro would grant such a huge wish, but he would try that evening.

Before we left, Roosevelt gave us some Ana Tijuana merchandise as gifts to give to the children for Equimas day. He wished us a safe trip. Then we left the building, got into a rental car, arrived at the airport, and flew back to San Rubio. We reset our watches back six hours. We left at 5:00pm Atlantic Daylight Time, and arrived at 2:30pm Pacific Standard Time. That's what I call pacing!

So, we learned that Roosevelt is funding a spaceship, but its completetion is at least eight years away. It doesn't look good. Let's hope that Santo Pedro comes through somehow with a request for an invention that hasn't been invented in this age, but might have been sometime into the future.

I and Scotty went back to his pad to get some rest. We didn't get much sleep so we took a two hour nap.

At 5pm, er, 6pm Mountain West Time where Scotty's house was at, we woke up and decided to go out for some dinner. We took Carlotta and Alyssa out to an evening to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. We were suppoed to get an early jump on summer day. Practice the summer lifestyle...whatever! But we were too busy during the day to enjoy it or else we would have gone to the beach for fun. We went over to the Green Enchrito for drinks and parties and had some fun. We got a bit drunk from too much drinking, so we had to call a cab to take us all home to Scotty's house. We arrived home at about 8pm Mountain West Time. Can't believe we got in that much St. Patrick's Day in only 60 minutes! I posted a radio blog at about 8:18pm Mountain West Standard Time, or Arizona Time, or Pacific Daylight Time, or whatever it's called, it's the same time. I'll be glad when we can get these time zone issues resolved.

Back in San Diego for four weeks, we have San Diego an hour ahead of Tijuana, but the same as Arizona for eight months. After four weeks, Tijuana is the same as San Diego and Tijuana for seven months, then Tijuana moves back an hour at the end of October, then San Diego does the same a week later. It's all time zone confusion. Somebody help straighten this out!

At 9pm, I used Scotty's computer to record my Mad Music Comedy Zone podcast with the songs I put in my USB drive for traveling between realms. At about midnight, I was finished and let Scotty send the podcast files over to Captain Wayne's web server.

At midnight, the glowing hydrogen gas Rush seemed to grow a bit dimmer. I guess the humamoids on satellite Al ran out of rockets or something. Maybe they couldn't get any sleep because of the light or whatever. It still emitted heat, but not as much as the night before.

Meanwhile, Carlotta got a phone call from Angelina, who said that Mindy got kidnapped by the demons and dragged her to the ground below. Angelina says that her husband Chachi is asking for some reinforcements. Alyssa called the Four Musketqueers, Barb, Marcie, Patty, and Ellen, who are strong enough to throw some demons around, but Scotty and I were too tired to help, and Hoss and Albert were deep asleep. Scotty suggested Lenny could help, but we're afraid that he might get killed again.

A few minutes later, the people arrived, plus some reinforcements from fans of Buffy who think they're strong and witty enough to defeat the demons and rescue Mindy, who is a cheerleader with a superpower that could force matter backwards, but even that power isn't enough to get her out as there were too many demons to push around, and they overwhelmed her to the point where they tied up her arms so she can't perform her superpower.

The group then left to go to points unknown to find the opening of the demons' lair where they kidnapped Mindy. They're out to save the cheerleader so that she could possibly save the world and its satellites. Let's hope that Chachi has enough of his obsession of Sarah Michelle Gellar to get his group, his own Scoobie gang, successful in rescuing Mindy.

Meanwhile, Scotty is on the phone calling the militias in town for reinforcements for Chachi and the scoobies. Chachi is Buddy Summers to us. Wonder if he could train Mindy to slay vampires as well as martial arts and pushing back matter. She could be both Buffy and Claire at once.

It's just two days away from Equimas Day and we're going to finish our shopping and wrapping of the gifts, but first, we gotta rest up. We're going to need it. Cya tomorrow.
