Day 6: Homeless on the Range (March 22, 2006, Blue 28, 2009)

Mar 22: Vernalmas Holidays (Day 6-first Wednesday) Feed the Homeless Feast Day.

The day after Equimas is when the malls and shopping centers in El Zona are packed with people trying to exchange or return their Equimas gifts from yesterday. The more challenging aspect of this chore is the increase of the difficulty factor because that blasted Brian Radio playing cookie cutter music from the big record labels. Some people were so fed up of hearing the Brian Radio songs that they simply gave up and decided to sell the rejected gifts on ePay.

Just outside each of the entrances are bins where people donated cans of nonperishable food as this was the day in the Vernalmas Holiday Season to get people to remember the homeless people in El Zona and for the government to consider ways to get the cost of living for low-wage earners down and to get better-paying middle-class jobs with paid training by the employers to come to the El Zona realm. Some of the homes of larger households are holding homeless feast banquets consisting of Equimas meal leftovers for the homeless to dine on, while promoting ways for them to seek out government help to get them out of their perpetual state of homelessness.

D.T., Scotty, Chachi, and Lenny are volunteering their services to scoop up some of the homeless people after they have eaten and direct them to Jump Start City. It's a new place where homeless go to clean themselves up and get new clothes, seek out jobs online that they can perform without extensive training, and provides temporary shelter until they can raise enough money to start paying the rent out of their paycheck as a percentage of their wages. The jobs that are offered are middle class (whatever few that can be found) to high class requiring experience, so some of the homeless could be given some of those jobs on the spot.

As a collective realm, El Zona needs to get more efforts underway to provide the promotion of middle class jobs that serve as a step between jobs paying a minimum wage and jobs paying six-figure annual wages. A more aggressive effort to get the homeless down to zero needs to be inplemented once a more effective plan can be thought out and to get the cost of living for those making small wages down to a point where government assistance won't be necessary.

Once more middle-class jobs are available, the cities should contract-out recruiters to each of the minimum wage jobs to seek out employees that could easily be hired at a middle-class job, allowing the employer hiring the low-class wage jobs to free up a position, allowing someone with no experience to get a job at that level. This is called the trickle-up theory. The middle-class employers get the experienced workers from the lower-class jobs, and the inexperienced get the lower-class jobs to start off their job portfolios in.

Hoss and his computer detectives at his jobsite, The Comedy Music Worldwide Ministries Headquarters, are still busy tracing the origin of the trojan horse virus-laden e-mail, and are aggressively calling up the ISPs that passed on the e-mail, trying to confirm that the e-mail had passed through and where they came from. Meanwhile, crews at the jobsite are trying to come up with replacements for the files that were lost when the virus hit the computer system.

On other affected music-based computer systems specializing in other genres, computer detectives are also tracing the origin of the trojan horse virus that they also received, and are trying to figure out how their iPods caught a virus that wiped out their music collections.

Albert in his lab try out his new invention using his modified computer card. It failed. He and his crew get back to work to try another way.

Alyssa, Carlotta, The Little Merbabe give up trying to exchange their gifts because of the insulting Brian Radio music playing on the intercoms. They decide to take a drive to the Mount La Goony mountains to escape the mayhem at the malls. They encounter the four butch lesbians trying to hunt for some game. The lesbians try to hit it off with the heterosexual female trio, but fail to get them interested in them.

Back in the cities, freeway signs are displaying an Amy Alert with a child abduction bulletin describing Mindy, displaying her picture, and showing a toll-free phone number to call in a tip to the authorities if they should see her anywhere. They're also showing images of Carl "Wanted Dead or Alive" with his mugshot and a toll-free police phone number for tipsters to call.

TV stations are displaying Amy Alerts with Mindy for a minute at the top of every hour, with the alert displayed in the lower-third part of the TV screen while the next TV show scheduled begins airing.

Back in the Mount La Goony hills, Carl, the convicted hate-crime father of Mindy, killed some rodents, started a small fire, skinned them, cooked them, and ate them for food. Carl went around the forest looking for some civilization. Carl sights a homeless banquet where some of the forest's homeless are dining out. Carl goes over to the banquet and has some leftover Equimas food to dine on. A few of the homeless recognize him. Carl is feared that they would turn him in, but the homeless said that they have information on where his daughter-ish son Mindy has gone. Carl and two of the homeless accompany him to show him to the castle where Mindy was last seen.

At the castle, an imprisoned Mindy is greeted by a creepy looking man with an evil attitude. He tells her that he has saw the Amy Alert bulletins on TV and she is worth a lot of money to him. He frees her from the shackles long enough so that she can eat some food and to go to the restroom. He watches her eat and watches her go to the restroom through the camera installed in the cell, but when he sees her p-nis when she takes a leak, the creepy looking man gets nauseous and vomits on the floor after discovering that Mindy isn't a girl on the physical side. When Mindy finishes up her business, she comes oer to the ill creepy looking man and wonders when she can leave. The creepy looking man vomits some more, then passes out. Mindy leaves the basement, but before she comes out of the stairway, a mysterious hand grasps her shoulder and gags her mouth with a rag soaked with some chemical until she passes out. She is taken away from the stairwell.

Meanwhile, the four butch lesbians, feeling somewhat dejected from being rejected from Alyssa, Carlotta, and the Merbabe, are riding their horses nearby the castle.
