Here are the businesses and what they are doing to overcharge you.
Jack in the Box: why do they continue to sell overpriced sandwiches for four bucks?
Subway in North Park (1915 El Cajon Blvd.): Seven dollars for a six inch sub? What gives? Also, they charge you for cheese even if you don't want it. Why can't they charge less for subs with no cheese? A corporate ripoff at its worst! Avoid that location at all costs.
Burger King: Are they out of original ideas? A stacker burger? What a dud. Nothing but saturated fat on top of fat.
Wendy's on the 9300 block of Claremont Mesa Blvd. Are they overcharging you for fries? I ordered a $2.09 size and got charged $2.49 (not including tax). They're ripping you off. Avoid that location!
Carls Jr.: The Six Dollar Burger has about two dollars worth of items. What a ripoff!
Many pizza chains I don't need to name: extra cheese is not double cheese, which is what customers expect extra cheese to be. Why pay for what you're not getting enough of? Besides, all that extra cheese is basically nothing but fat, which adds pounds, not flavor, and is bad for your health. Just order regular cheese and one topping.
Recommendations:
Just order the cheap value meal items at the fast food items and you can have a meal for about three bucks. Do not order any of the premium items (stuff over $2) since the cost does not justify the weight of the food you're purchasing.
Skip the cheese on the burgers. They're overpriced anyway. Avoid Subway until they can give you a discount on a sub without cheese.
Avoid the french fries from McDonald's, Burger King, Der Wienerschnitzel, and Carl's Jr. because their fries are cooked in a fatty oil full of transfats and is bad for you.
Avoid the soft drinks at the fast food outlets because all that sugar and caffeine in the drinks aren't good for you anyway. Besides, the idiot clerks at Carls Jr. and Tommy's never get my soft drink requests right at the drive-through. I can't drink Coke or Pepsi at all because of all the sugar and caffeine. Go to the 99 cent store and buy a load of water to drink.
Never ask for extra cheese on pizzas because they're not going to give you double cheese anyway. There is no basis for a lawsuit over this because the wording is legally in their favor. Insist for true double cheese of don't pay.
Corporate fast food sucks. Why can't they get anything right? And so now you know why Clear Channel shouldn't be allowed to own more radio stations in a market. Homogenized playlists are like fast food menus: they're all the same no matter where you go, and the quality is the same: they're all subpar.
