Beginning this week, Western time zone stations aired
the second half of the NBC daytime lineup with a Central
time zone schedule. For most of those affilliates,
Days didn't shift time periods ahead 1/2 hour, though
it did expand to one hour; Doctors, Another World (S),
and Somerset (S) were seen in time periods 1/2 hour back.
On the Eastern and Central time zones,
Days ahead 1/2 hour when it expanded to one hour;
Doctors and World as well as Somerset (S) stayed in their
time slots. Some western time zone stations
aired Somerset (S) at Noon when it didn't have a newscast.

Because of Another World (S) expanding to 90 minutes,
some affilliates that ran the news at noon on
the west coast used means of video taping to shift
the entire second half of the schedule back 1/2 hour.
Some aired Days 1/2 hour later and dropped The Doctors (S)
so they could have World ending at 3 instead of pm03:30.
Some affilliates dropped or delayed
Hollywood Squares or Password to run local newscasts.
In my humble opinion, this was a Jump the Shark
moment in scheduling that NBC never recovered to this
day, which eventually led it its own near demise,
with only Days remaining as the entire daytime lineup
as of the fall of 2007.
